Aaron is asked a question about the best ways to get a smooth shave under the chin
Graham Wingrove, from the UK, asks:
“Hi, I started double edge shaving about 6 mouths ago after 15 years of using a Mach 3 razor. I find that after the shave if I run my hand with the grain it’s perfectly smooth. However, if I run my hand against the grain it feels like fine sand paper under the chin. Is this normal? Best regards Graham.”

The chin area can be a very difficult area to get a close shave
AARON SAYS
“Mr. Wingrove,
You are I exactly right! If you are shaving with the grain, it should feel perfectly smooth to your hand when following that direction. What you are feeling when going against the grain is the tiny bit of hair left above the surface after shaving. To remove this last little bit shave against the grain, or if that is too difficult for the chin area, go across the grain. That should remove those last little bits of hair remaining above the surface. Please let us know how it works for you!
Keep it smooth!
Aaron“
