Aaron is asked a question about whether or not double edge shaving makes hair grow back quicker & thicker

“I recently returned to using a safety razor (Parker 99R) after being given a Men-u sample and brush. After years of mediocre shaving with a double then triple bladed system, I rediscovered what a damn good shave you get old school but I have noticed that my beard grows back a lot quicker. Now why is this? Thanks Duncan.”

“Mr. Fraser,
With a return to more healthy shaving it may that your beard is a lot happier and is growing more! All kidding aside, what is probably happening is that your hair is having less distance to grow and therefore appears to growing faster. Why this occurs is when you were using the cartridge razor the hair was being cut and going below the surface of the skin and now with the Parker 99R razor is being cut at the surface. This minor difference could be what you are noticing.
