The best lather and skin softening properties, ideal for sensitive skin!
Of course, we have our very own unique luxury shaving cream with it's unique ingredient , The Bluebeards Revenge™ - the ultimate shaving cream for real men. However, when it came to soap we decided not to reinvent the wheel as Mitchell's Wool Fat is considered the ultimate in shaving soap luxury. So, we are very proud to have the honour of using Mitchell's Wool Fat luxury shaving soap to carry our The Bluebeards Revenge™ brand. In our typical Shaving Shack style we have dispensed with the outer packaging, so it is a little cheaper than the boxed equivalent.
Mitchell's Wool Fat Luxury Shaving Soap is renowned for it's lather and it's amazing skin softening qualities.
A simple and natural product, Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap is still made to Mr. Mitchell's original formula, based on a recipe from the turn of the century and incorporating lanolin from the wool fat as the key ingredient.
Although no medical claims are made for it, this very gentle soap is particularly soothing to sensitive skins and has often been recommended by members of the medical profession to help alleviate certain skin complaints.
This is probably going to be one of the best soaps you'll ever use so stock up now and experience true shaving heaven!
Have any burning questions you would like ask our wet shaving expert Aaron Wolfenbarger? Is shaving lather really important? Should I shave with or against the grain? What causes razor bumps and how can I get rid of them? Feel free to ask any pressing question you want answering.
Author: Dan at The Shaving Shack Mitchell's Wool Fat is such a classic shaving soap, a firm favourite amongst wet shavers. To have the privilege of having our distinct brand on this soap is very exciting for us as it is truly worthy of Bluebeard Revenge values in being "The Ultimate Shaving Experience For Real Men".
Author: Kevin Taylor I've been looking for a shaving soap that would let me lather to my face in a reasonable amount of time and still be as good as creams. Mitchell's soap does this easily and I really like how soft my face feels afterward.
In the case, I like the lower price due to the preduced packaging by Bluebeard.
Author: Michael Vitalis this an excellent soap. it lathers really easily, and is very smooth and protective. Will last for ages too by the look of it
Author: Darren Mogg I'll have to be a lone voice in the sea of good reviews this soap gets !
I found the soap a little harsh and it left my face feeling dry and taut , maybe it's just not for me and i should bite the bullet and get the proper blue beards revenge !!!
Author: Adzy_166 This is a great product. If you have sensitive skin, I'd say give it a week for your skin to adjust to the soap. I found it a bit drying to begin with. Some people recommend applying directly to the face. However I think it lathers better if you use a bowl. If you soak the mix bowl and soap bowl in hot water first, it seems to lather better. Also keep the mix quite "wet". Using a bit more water allows the lather to be more gloopy and the razor glides better. One further trick (not for purists): put three to four drops of David Somersets (or your preferred brand) shave oil in the bowl first and then mix with the fat. The result is ultra-sticky and gives a really comfortable result.
Author: plastikk12 This soap is, simply put, fantastic. There's really no other word to describe it. The trick with this soap is to completely submerge the puck in warm water and let it sit for a bit while you get ready (shower, brush teeth, beat cat, etc) before going to town building your lather. Moisturizing, slick, and inexpensive, I can't really think how to beat it.
