Apply after you have rinsed you face with cold water to close up the pores and any little nicks, leave you face damp (not dripping) and splash on. You get a massive hit of freshness from the Menthol, (but not overpowering), with very little burn. You maintain a fresh feeling for a good couple of hours afterwards. Tones you skin very well. My only gripe is that the scent does not seem to last for very long. Awesome product. If you are new to wet shaving or a seasoned vet, you cannot get much better than Proraso.
