The criss-cross pattern on the handle gives excellent grip, even when razor is wet. Fantastically impressed by the closeness of the shave and the comfort when using it. Having used normal disposable razors for the last 25 years wish I had realised this razor was far far superior years ago. No rashes, no red skin, no dragging, far closer shave. Fantastic. Dan got back to me & recommended this razor as a good starter razor that won't cost the earth & will give me the quality shave I'm after. Well kudos to Dan, as this is a superb starter razor & has given me the best shave I've ever had. No razor burn or cuts either. Superb. Have to say that after learning how to shave properly (not too many nicks) I am very impressed by the closeness of the shave. the weight (heavier than Gillette Mach whatever )and dimensions of the razor are just right and allows for a controlled shave without razor burn. The weight of it does the work for you which helps reduce shaving burn, and it makes a really satisfying sound as it cuts through the stubble. I've tried Feathers and Derbys in it and have achieved excellent results with very few nicks once I'd gotten used to it.
