An all metal construction safety razor with nickel plated finish, a butterfly opening, and some great styling on the handle. Put this together with a decent blade, a nice rich lather and hot water and you get a close satisfying shave reputably out performing the likes of mach 3. Also don't forget the savings in razor blades compared to the cost of the average Mach 3 refill cartridge, this razor will pay for itself!
Have any burning questions you would like ask our wet shaving expert Aaron Wolfenbarger? Is shaving lather really important?, Should I shave with or against the grain? What causes razor bumps and how can I get rid of them? Feel free to ask any pressing question you want answering.
Author: Dan from The Shaving Shack We've recently started stocking these as they get very favourable reviews. Having handled it myself I can say it looks fantastic and performs just as well. It's quite heavy for a Parker which adds to the feel of the razor, making it a worthy addition to your collection.
Author: Walter Chan I got this amonth ago and have been using for 2 weeks. It doesn't look very well constructed when compared to some of my old Gillett or Stlick. But on using it, its surprising well balanced, as good as the old Gillete I had used in the 70's before I was lured away by the multi-blades format. I am glad I bought this Parker 90R, especially at a special deal from Dan. I am this will give me many years of reliable service and tremendous joy to my wet shaving experience!
Author: Mike Eadie I have been using this for 6 months now and I'm very impressed with it. It is well built and has a reassuringly heavy feel. It's easy to use provided some care is taken when compared to a multi-bladed razor. It gives an excellent shave provided you take your time. The opening mechanism lends a quality feel and adds to the experience. If I was in a real hurry I may use a multi blade but the shave will not be as good. I would expect that this will give me many years of service. Couple this razor with a quality badger brush and cream/soap and you will enjoy close shaves with no nicks.
Author: NIGEL MOSCROP Just received it today ,so very quick. Being a first time user of this type of razor ,I was surprised on how it did a much better shave than any I had before ,i.e multi-bladded throw away's .I use men-u shaving cream, which I find excellent ,and from now on will only use this kind of razor and cream
Author: Joanne Hunt I used to serve in the British Army, having to shave everyday often caused shaving rashes, so I switched to a DE Razor, I left the forces eight years ago and decided to give my face the rest it deserved. I have used all manor of disposable blades since, two, three and four blades...sick and tired of tugging and pulling I have been using the DE Parker for three two: it's nicely weighted, easy to keep clean and just a few turns to change the blade (no fuss). Even my little boy doesn't mind giving me wet soppy kisses as he doesn't get a stubble rash either. Just wish the missus back off. Moral of the story gents, if you don't want your missus glued to your face, stick with disposable razor. If in the other hand you don't mind then switch to a DE razor...simples!!!
Author: Alex Fergusson I ordered this razor about 4 months ago. Having used Mach 3 razor for the past 10 years or so, I was fed up continually buying either new blades or completely new razors because they had been "upgraded". It took me some weeks to get used to my Parker, but now I find it gives a much cleaner, closer shave without any burn. It is also much more convenient for taking away on weekends and holidays, taking up much less room in a soap bag. My next plan is to buy a Merkur adjustable, purely to see if its at all possible to improve on what I consider the best!
