After browsing the internet for a while I decided to go for this one.

It contains all the necessary products to get started with this type of shaving and it oozes quality and class.

After many years of multi-blade shaving, I finally decided to take the DE plunge with this gift set. I'm so glad I did.

The set contains everything needed for a comfortable, close shave. The razor is a work of art - very well balanced and with enough weight to get through the toughest beard with little pressure. The shaving cream works up a rich lather using the badger hair brush and the post-shave balm is very soothing.

After seeing Bond have a Cut Throat shave in Skyfall I decided to go back to a more manly way of shaving.
Not cut throat I must add but a double edge safety razor. My wife got me the Scimitar razor and Bluebeards revenge kit for my birthday, now after 30 odd years of cartridge shaves I was a bit nervous using it, wasn't impressed at all, however after speaking to the guys on the phone it was suggested that I had the base on upside down!
The second time of using the razor I had the shave of my life!
You know what? just get it and treat yourself to a real mans shave. I'm saying no more.

I purchased this comprehensive set for myself after becoming disillusioned with the soaring prices of multiblade razors and quality of the shave they gave.

Individually each item in the set is high quality and the Scimitar razor in particular has a good weight that inspires confidence. Together they work to give a close, smooth shave that doesn't leave a rash or bumps and also adds a feeling of ceremony and classy ritual that makes shaving fun.

I would recommend the set to anyone looking to make the switch from multiblade to DE razor, I also purchased a bowl & pre shave oil to add to the experience but it's not entirely necessary, this kit provides you with everything you essentially need.

Had this a couple of weeks new to DE shaving and must say after reading and watching videos it's a 100% no going back to the old way . My wife was amazed I did not cut my self and my skin was not red and blotchy . You get every thing you need to get you started for a good month or so .

I bought this going in new to the whole proper way of shaving. When i received it i admit i was nervous about using the razor. I mean new razor, new technique and 4-5mm length hair on my neck and chin was a recipe for a lot of cuts. However i manned up and got that cream on and shaved. And wow, not a single cut and the best shave of my life. all the products just felt to a high standard and expertly made. i am so happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone

I decided to take the plunge after much irritation from shaving with cartridge razors.
As a traditional shaving beginner I went for this set as it has nearly everything a beginner needs: razor, brush, cream.
From the first shave I have had the closest and least irritating shave ever!

Tips on caring for your shaving brush

Use warm water! Hot or boiling water can cause damage, ultimately resulting in shedding. Hot, in brush terms, is usually considered to be anything above the 50 degree Celcius mark.

Go easy with your brush! The core of the brush is where the magic happens and mashing down with your brush can twist and break the core hairs and over time cause hair loss and a dimpled effect in the center of the brush.

Rinse and dry after use. When you are done using your brush shake or flip it hard a few times to remove all the water and hang upside down in a stand to dry. If you don’t have a stand dry the brush thoroughly on a towel.

Why is my brush shedding?
