Have been using this brush for over a year now and although the painting on the handle (wooden) is somewhat flaking the brush as a whole is GREAT. The size is just perfect (I easily get 3 passes). This is the brush I reach for when I go for soaps. As for performance this brush will only get better with age. Trust me. Classy handle.

Although it's about 2 quid dearer than a brush avaliable in a certain high street chemist, you'll find it saves you money in the long-term, i.e. far superior build quality. It won't have lost 1/8th of the bristles 3 months down the line and split halfway along one side. . . Plus it feels nice in your hand, and with a suitable stand it is far more pleasing to the eye than a little lump of anonymous plastic.

The Semogue Boar Shaving Brush Model 1520 is soft and gave a great lather when used with Truefitt & Hill Luxury Shaving Soap. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is quite simply an excellent brush and outstanding value for money at the Shaving Shack. I use it for soft and hard soaps and find it performs brilliantly. It worked well from me right from the start but the the real magic starts when it's broken in (the tops of the hairs split...about 30 shaves for me).

I find this brush is easily big enough for 3 or more passes, while being small enough for me to control where the lather is going. The handle is ergonomically better than most, looks really good and the paint should last if it doesn't get soaked too often (I submerge just the bristles in water before shaving). All in all, probably the biggest bargain for wet shavers and face-latherers in particular.
