This shaving brush is filled with the highest quality pure badger hair, which has been carefully graded for use in hand filled brushes. Pure badger hair is regarded as the quality benchmark by many shaving brush manufacturers, and the hair used in this brush is dark and silver in appearance which immediately identifies it as being pure and above average standard.

Slightly firmer to the touch, this grade of hair gently exfoliates the skin prior to shaving, it has excellent water retention properties and will provide you with quality shaves for many years to come.

The handle is hand turned on lathe for a superior finish and has a metallic colour trim.

The Shaving Shack verified purchase.

Thought this was a great brush when I got it four months ago, but over the last few weeks it's started losing 20 odd bristles every day. It shows no sign of stopping this "Hair Loss", and the bristles clog up my DE razor and the sink.

For £20 I expected more that four months of normal daily use.

Would I recommend - no chance.

I bought this brush from you recently and I can,t believe the difference in quality, I have used a bristle brush for some time but this brush surpasses it by a long way.
The performance and feel of it for the price is quite remarkable, so much so my son who has recently been converted to DE shaving wants one. Thanks again Shaving Shack.

I have had this brush for over a year and it has had daily use, mostly with taylors shaving creme. I was thinking of upgrading to a more expensive brush, I guess I now qualify as a DE convert, but I can't justify the cost.
After fourteen months of daily use it is almost as good as new. If you invest in one of these you will not be dissapointed.

Being a very recent convert to DE shaving, I had purchased a cheap bristle brush which seemed to do the trick OK. Having read quite a bit of information about DE shaving, I decided to upgrade to a badger brush, and wow! I was amazed at the difference! The quality of the lather produced was far superior. Effortless too. I was going to keep my bristle brush for travelling; now I'm thinking I had better get another one of these! Thoroughly recommended if you're looking for a great quality, entry level brush.

This brush is brillient. To be honest it's my first brush so have nothing to compare it to but it puts the later on well when face-lathering, it's comfortable and for the price I think it would make a great brush for a beginner like me. I bought it because it had the right compromise between quality, price and size. Buy one but hurry, they run out quickly!

I bought this brush from the Shaving Shack some months ago. Being new to DE shaving I didn't want to spend a lot on a brush, but not to little either, I think this brush fits that goal really well.

I wasn't convinced by the arguments for pure badger brushes, but I was bought this as a present. It is so much better than my old bristle brush, really building up a creamy lather with no effort at all. It looks very classy on the stand too.

Great value budget brush, Im sorry but I don't see the point in paying £50+ for a brush, I think £19 is expensive to be honest but I wanted a badger hair brush and this one is great value. It gives a good lather and spread well....easy to clean and fluffy. Worth it!

Tips on caring for your shaving brush

Use warm water! Hot or boiling water can cause damage, ultimately resulting in shedding. Hot, in brush terms, is usually considered to be anything above the 50 degree Celcius mark.

Go easy with your brush! The core of the brush is where the magic happens and mashing down with your brush can twist and break the core hairs and over time cause hair loss and a dimpled effect in the center of the brush.

Rinse and dry after use. When you are done using your brush shake or flip it hard a few times to remove all the water and hang upside down in a stand to dry. If you don’t have a stand dry the brush thoroughly on a towel.

Why is my brush shedding?
