Apply after you have rinsed you face with cold water to close up the pores and any little nicks, leave you face damp (not dripping) and splash on. You get a massive hit of freshness from the Menthol, (but not overpowering), with very little burn. You maintain a fresh feeling for a good couple of hours afterwards. Tones you skin very well. My only gripe is that the scent does not seem to last for very long. Awesome product. If you are new to wet shaving or a seasoned vet, you cannot get much better than Proraso.
Author: Matjaz J. This aftershave lotion is my favourite and I use it almost exclusively after my shaves. The perfect combination of menthol and witch hazel makes sure your face feels cool and irritation-free. I cannot really stress how much this lotion sooths the skin. It helped my skin recover after some shaves gone bad when my face was on fire and no other aftershave product in my shaving arsenal could do the job.

Gives you a great menthol fresh feeling on your skin and really wakes you up in the morning.
And best of all you don't get the shock of alcohol burn that you get with a lot of aftershaves.
Author: Mark Bickley This would not be for the gentleman who hits the nightclubs every night with his shirt open to his naval intending to knock the ladies for six with a potent after-shave. Rather this Proraso is subtle and classy with an exquisite, understated scent. It also performes the job after-shave is intended for and doesn't smell cheap like many perfumes in this price range.

Its more of a skin toner rather than a powerful aftershave. The scent goes fairly quicky so I normally use a more scented aftershave after about half an hour
