After applying some excellent Omega shaving cream I let this razor loose around my face. One word comes to mind and that's "smooth" which contrasts nicely with it's "real man" razor image, as defined by it's weight and it's purposeful ruggedness. I did two passes which left me wth a very close shave. It has excellent grip and adopts Parker's famous butterfly mechanism making really easy to change blades - simply turn the knob at the bottom of the razor to open up the butterfly and plonk the razor blade in...simple. I bought the parker 82 r razor & the simpsons chubby 1 brush, which performed very well together resulting in a very close & smooth shave.
