Ideal for creating slurry on your Belgian Blue or Yellow Coticule Whetstones!

This small piece of Belguim Coticule is used to create a milky slurry to use with the Coticule or Belgian Blue Whetstone (BBW). This is done by rubbing the stone over the surface of the whetstone. The slurry does not take long to appear and for fine honing the slurry is diluted in a number of stages with a small amount of water until finally there is only water on the surface.

PLEASE NOTE: These stones are of an irregular shape and each one is unique. Please see the pictures for what you might expect e.g. two colour or single colour stone. Please also note that if it is two colour then the slurry is created on the yellow side, the darker side is just a backing stone and should not be used.
