Established in 1919 Simpson & Co continue to make the world's finest hand made shaving brushes using techniques that have not changed since the firm was founded. Each handle is turned on a lathe, polished and then filled by hand with a "knot" of fine quality selected Chinese badger hair. The hair for each knot is sorted, weighted and tied by a skilled craftsman who then carefully cements the knot into the handle. The handle is then etched with the name of the brush. I was looking for something similar to my Chubby 1 but with a bigger handle. This is it, a great soap brush that works well with creams too without being a complete lather hog.
