Product: 30 Israeli Made Double Edged Razor Blades
Review: I really wanted these blades to work out for me as they are very cheap and because Dan is kind enough to hand them out for free together with orders over a certain amount.
In a way they do work; I get the best and most comfortable shaves with these - compared to the other blades I have tried; Merkur Platinum, Derby Extra and Gillette Platinum (Swedes). The problem is just; I can only get one good shave out of them (compared to an average of three shaves from the Merkur's, Derby's and Gillette's), second shave with the Shaving Shack blades is awfull with dragging, pulling and lots of irritation.
I do not think these blades are bad, they just doesn't work for me - as I can not accept a blade that only lasts for one shave, a pity because in most other aspects they are perfect for me.
A frind of mine, who has a lighter beard, gets an average of three good shaves out of these blades and I imagine most people would get around the same amount as he does. But, if you have a heavy beard you are probably better off with another blade, like the Derby Extras for example.

Product: 30 Derby Extra Double Edged Razor blades
Review: These are my to-go-to blades. I have only Merkur Platinum, Shaving Shack blades and Gillette Platinum (Swedes) to compare them with; they are similar to the Merkurs, but gives me much less irritation. Having rather sensitive skin a sharp blade like the Gillettes and a "rough" blade like the Merkur doesn't work for me - but the Derby's do.
As stated; these are my to-go-to blades - and I believe they will continue being that. Everyone should sample a pack of these blades at least once.

Product: Parker Model 60R "Connaught" Metal Safety Razor with Chrome Finish
Review: Well I am 28 and didn't even know that DE razors existed until this tuesday! I ordered this razor late tuesday night and was happy to see it arrive this morning. Very quick service indeed!
So how did my first ever shave with a real razor go? It was fantastic, I can honestly say that even after my first go this is the closest and least painful shave that I have ever had!! The first person who saw me commented on how I had a face like a babies bum, which made me smile!
If your contemplating buying a DE razor then this Parker has proven to be a very simple and effective razor for my first time, I am chuffed with it. I was a little sceptical whether this style of shaving would be any better than your mach 3, and it is honestly so much better. The only way is to try for your self and you will never look at a mach 3 the same again!!
Thankyou Shaving Shack!!

Review: great blade and very sharp as ive used it without any irration what so ever
Review: After ten years of shaving with a two blades wilkinson, the TV ads for three, four, five (six next time ???) blades razors were the drop that breaks the camel's back. I decided to spare my money and to go back to more traditional shaving methods : safety razor and straight razor.
If the straight razor is the holy grail in shaving, I'm a beginner with it. More,I have to admit that the morning shave before going to work is often too hasty to consider using it. As a result, I looked for a safety razor, and I found a first class one with the Merkur Futur 760. It'a perfect shaving tool, giving me a smoother skin than my old wilkinson. More, after a ten years break of multiblade razor shaving, I managed to get not a single cut using it.
Finally, its a masterpiece of design, with smooth and pure lines, reminiscent of the Schneider Cup's seaplanes of the 1930'. To put it in one word : a must.

Review: If Mr Taylors more scented creams are not to your liking, ( i personaly think their is something wrong with you if thats the case because they are all superb) then this is the one for you. Take as a given, that it is pure smooth silk like luxery as all Mr Taylors creams are. However the fragrance really is rather special. I have no idea what it smells of, other than i love how it smells & that is say something as i am mr taylors biggest fan. I thought the almond (read marzipan) was shaving cream utopia, how wrong & misguided i was! Eaton cream is without doubt, the "William the Conquer" of shaving creams. I defy anyone to withstand its irrestable draw.

Review: Being somewhat frugal i thought i would enter the world of badger brush shaving, so looked around for an entry level brush that came highly reccommended. My old bristle brush has served me well & i was really suprised at the softness of the BK2. It hold enormous amounts of water & feels like silk on your face, whilst allowing 4 to 6 passes when fully loaded. I can honestly say that this brush has proved exellent value for money & would not hesitate to reccommend it to my friends. Quality at very reasonable money.
Review: I bought this razor and I was little scared how hard this is shave because I've been using Mach 3 before. That was unnecessary, shaving was very easy and comfortable. Razor is very beauty and wellmade. I recommend brush and soap for shaving. I bought Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap and I like it. It was very gentle for my skin. After shaving I use moisturazing lotion. Great purchase and I recommend it! :)

Review: I have been using this for 6 months now and I'm very impressed with it. It is well built and has a reassuringly heavy feel. It's easy to use provided some care is taken when compared to a multi-bladed razor. It gives an excellent shave provided you take your time. The opening mechanism lends a quality feel and adds to the experience. If I was in a real hurry I may use a multi blade but the shave will not be as good. I would expect that this will give me many years of service. Couple this razor with a quality badger brush and cream/soap and you will enjoy close shaves with no nicks.

It has not lost a single hair since I've had it so on that basis it should last a very long time. It is a good size and easy to use. I always put it in a drip stand (purchased from Shaving Shack) after use so it never stays soaking wet. Considering the price and quality I think this is a bagain.
Review: I had been looking at these Japanese wonders for a while, before I plucked up the courage to try them. After all, Feather blades are as sharp as a traditionally crafted samurai sword, according to the hype. I bought a few packs to keep me going and I have not looked back since. They are the only blade I use now. You will not find a sharper, better made blade. Yes they are more expensive than the Israeli or Merkur blades but you'll know why as soon as you have your first shave with one. I have a Merkur 38C and these Japanese blades are the perfect partner for it. Add a Kent AP12 brush and some Mitchell's Wool Fat soap (available from the guys here!) and you will struggle to get a better shave, even if you go to a professional barber shop! Take your time using these Feather blades (30 minutes plus for a really careful. close shave!) and you will notice the difference. Rush it, and you will bleed...profusely! You have been warned!
Review: First things first, I love my Gillette "Fat boy 1960" & "slim 63" . They look great, hold their value & shave ok. Yet, there is a but & you will only realise why after you have used one of Merkurs exellent razors. Such an example is the Futur. The solid weight, teture & ballance all scream "Quality". Then of course comes the shave, so close with no nicks or soreness & you are feeling your face all day because it is so smooth. But there is something very special about the Futur that sets it apart from all other razors! It is the design & build. Come the nuclear war, my money is on the Futur being the only thing left standing. It is simply two pieces of machine mettled parts which are indestructable. The top part lifts of & sits back with the sort of satisfying clunk one gets when shutting a Jaguar car door. You know that blade is going nowhere. You get 12 settings which range from mild to Gods blood, you can not be serious setting. Its all so simple, yet shear class. As for my much loved Gillettes, yes i still love them but they adorn my bathroom for their asthetic value, whilst my hand always reaches for the Futur.

In the month I've had this razor I've already saved 22euro on not having to buy Mach thr blades! Thats pretty much 2/3 of what this cost me!! in two months I'll practically be saving money :)
If you're even considering trying DE shaving out-you will not be disappointed with this razor! It looks and feels amazing, never fails to get a conversation from friends when they see you shave with it!
Review: After reading a number of websites I decided to go with the progress, its a great value razor and it performs really good and I find it just the right weight although some people dislike the top heavy feel.
As well as this it also gives a very close shave when used with the right razor blade and beats any Fusion or Mach3 razor hands down.
This also comes in a nice clear plastic display box which is handy for storage or travel as it can store upto two boxes of blades.

Review: I ordered this sample pack together with my Merkur Futur. It is very useful to try different blades when you acquire a new razor, because each razor seems to require different degrees of smoothness and/or sharpness.
In my case, I have discovered that the Israeli Shaving Shack blades are perfect for the Futur (adjusted around 3) and I will order them again in the near future.
Review: This razor is perfect for my skin. I was using a light DE razor before this, but I have discovered that with an heavier razor such as the Futur it is much easier to avoid any pressure and to keep a consistent angle throughout each pass.
I am going to get rid of any other razor I own and to bring this beast around also for travels.
Just be careful with the adjustability, adjust gradually and consider that different blades can require a different setting.

After doing some research on DE razors I decided to go for the Merkur 34C because it was a good choice for a beginner. Immediately noticed the shaving rash clearing up and my face feels much softer and less irritated after shaving. It is far less irritating using 1 extremely sharp blade than it is to use the double, triple etc blade cartridges they have out today, and also far less costly. Had my first shave and even though this is my first time with a single blade it proved to be a great success. No nicks and clean smooth result! What is even more amazing is that the skin is totally moist and no bumps or red blotches/marks and no irritations. Had to wait till I was 32 to discover this. Merkur is slightly on the heavy side but boy once you get to use it you would never go back to multi blade system. Cost wise it is a investment well made. Review: I bought this soap as I have very sensitive skin, and this soap, due to its lanolin content is good for the skin and has a high moisturising ability. I have used 4 other shave soaps and a couple of creams. Out of them all, this one is my favourite, and it looks like it will last for ages. It lathers really well (even with hard water), softens the skin, gives excellent glide, smells pleasant. I would recommend it without any hesitation!
Review: I decided to try the Progress after 10 months or so using my other Merkur razor. I really like my other razor, but I found it just a little too aggressive for my skin. I have sensitive skin and a thick beard. I chatted with Dan at Shaving Shack, who was very helpful, and he suggested two options. One was the Progress, and the other the Slant bar. I went for the Progress as I wanted the to be able to adjust the blade exposure to my skin. It arrived 1.5 days later. After two weeks of using the Progress I am very happy wit it! The build quality is excellent. Unlike my other Merkur, the Progress is a little heavier and has a little more weight in the head. This I really like. The shape of the head makes it very easy to shave in those awkward places. The razor gives me excellent shaves, and my razor burn, irritation and ingrowing hairs are gone. I would recommend this razor to anyone. There are quarks to it though, but you can find these out on the internet Forums, like Badger and Blade. I also bought Derby blades and Mitchell's wool Fat Shaving Soap. I will write reviews of these two also. Needless to say, the combination is good for me.

Review: I tried this cream after having tried the Taylor of Old Bond Street's Sandalwood.
This one has a more subtle scent, less "synthetic", if I can describe it like that,
but also less intense.
The texture itself is more creamy, less solid than the TOBS variety, and it lathers up
very well.
I like the TOBS Sandalwood very much - but this one seems to have a slight edge
over it - a more subtle, slightly more natural scent, almost sweeter, with excellent
latherability. In the end, it's a matter of personal preference, but they are both
excellent shaving creams !

Product: Shaving Shack Hand Made Natural Shaving Soap (110g)
Review: I used this soap along with a Parker 90R I bought from the Shaving Shack. It has been ideal for my sensitive skin and I don't get a rash when I use it, unlike some soaps and creams I've used before. Although it is quick to produce lather, it disappears quite quickly. However, as another reviewer has pointed out, it does leave a clear layer that is slick and produces a good shave that leaves the skin moisturised.
Review: I'm 24YO and lately my beard really started to grow with a manly pace/texture, so my few years old Philips electric shaver just wasn't cutting it anymore.
I actually started to look online for a new electric shaver but so i discovered, that wet shaving gives better results. I don't know how i stumbled on safety razors but boy am i glad i did. The Merkur 570 Progress got great reviews so i gave it a try.
It gives you a great shave and you don't have to be afraid of cutting yourself. I'm basically a shaving noob and i don't have problems shaving with it. I did cut myself a little a few times but that's because i really wasn't taking it slow. Before Merkur arrived i bought a Wilkinson sword quattro titanium 4-blade miracle (MACH3 plastic fantastic alike) and was really dissapointed with the result. I also cut myself more with it than with the Merkur (it went straight to the trash along with the extra blade).
It's fun to experiment with the settings. I can shave with level 1 but usually i set it from 1.5-2.5, i usually use 1 on the area under the nose/above the lip, otherwise it's to rough for me.
I wouldn't mind the handle being a bit longer.
The blades are cheap, the shave is great so do i don't really understand why they don't sell this in stores?!
I got 30 free israeli blades with this order. I find them just as good or even better than Merkur platinum blades. Shipping to Slovenia was fast with royal mail and the price 29.99 pounds is awesome, especially with todays pound= conversion rate. Cheaper than buying from Germany.
CONCLUSION: buy it and throw the MACH-3 marvels in the trash can, where they belong!

Review: Dont be scared of buying this razor. It is simply the best double edge razor I have ever used. Gives a really smooth shave with zero irritation if used with applying no pressure against the skin. I have really sensitive skin and a tough ginger beared, and with this razor I have eliminated the problems I had with razor burn and ingrown hairs.

Product: Taylor of Old Bond St Shaving Cream (Avocado 150g)
Review: An excellent cream that produces a thick creamy lather with a really fresh scent. If you feel it's too thick, add more water - just like with any cream, each one is different. I heard some people compare this to the Body Shop shaving cream but they are very different in scent - this one almost smells like fresh cucumber to me - it's really nice, and much easier on my skin than the sandalwood version (which although I love the scent and lather, smells a little more artificial due to the added perfume). For people with sensitive skin, this is really better than most of the perfumed creams from Taylor and it lasts forever, making it a really good buy!

Review: Well, it arrived today and is my entry in to the world of DE shaving. After great anticipation, I'm not disappointed AT ALL! The packaging is excellent, and the razor itself looks solid and as if it will last a lifetime. I toyed with the idea of going for a Merkur Progress or Futur, but was worried they may be too aggressive for a newbie.
This razor is PERFECT however! Nice and easy to use and causes no upset to my sensitive skin.
I've been using electric shavers all my life and while they cause no irritation, the result has not been very close; this system and razor has changed all that, for the better!
Well done to Dan for the great help and advice. I will be returning here to buy future shaving supplies.
Used with Taylors of Bond Street cream and a good badger brush, the shave is unsurpassed.

Product: Merkur 39C Slant Bar DE Long Handled Safety Razor
Review: I have left it half a dozen shaves before adding this review. I bought this as it is recommended not just for thick growth (which mine is not particularly) but also for sensitive skin. What a lovely shave / great razor!! It actually looks daunting and as if it would take the side of your head off but, with the usual care and attention, it doesn't.
I have moved to this from the 34c and would give this the edge. Although I have small hands, I find the longer handle and extra weight are just right and are easier to use than the 34c. The only complaint was a few nicks with the last shave but that was down to me trying to get an extra shave from the blade rather than the fault of the razor. I find Derby blades are great with this razor. Haven't tried a feather yet!!.
Highly recommended and excellent quality.
Enjoy!!

Review: I have just had a truly rewarding shave with this wonderful shaving cream. You just need an almond size amount with this stuff and your shaving brush will explode with copious amounts of fluffy white lather. The lather produced was very slick making my DE razor glide effortlessly. The scent of this cream is great and it should be, as real sandal wood oil is part of its ingredients. Also the scent lingers for quite a while, much to my girlfriend's delight who described it as "very sexy". I wonder if I can get hold of some aftershave to accompany this shaving cream?

Review: After reading reviews of shaving cream I wanted something that didn't smell too much like an "old gentleman" Being only 22 myself i researched into this and was recommended this cream,
I think it is possibly the closest smelling cream to the usual Gillette goo and it gives a brilliant shave with a great lather, And the smell when shaving is out of this world, If you are a young guy (like me) making he's first steps into the world of traditional wet shaving then go for this cream

Review: Coming from synthetic 'goo' out of a can, I was quite shocked at how luxurious this product was. The lather, when done properly, is thick, warm and wet - perfect for a close shave and a million miles from the dry foam I've been using for years. The scent is subtle and pleasing and wears off quickly after your shave, to give your aftershave a chance to take over. Taylor are one of the big "Three T's" and are highly rated for good reason, their avocado cream being one of their most famous products.

Product: Merkur 37C Slant Bar DE Safety Razor
Review: These Slant Bars have a bit of a reputation for being not for the faint hearted. I took the plunge as I wanted a razor that could cope with my very dense and course beard with as few passes as possible as Ive got girly sensitive skin! This razor certainly has a bit of blade exposure and its definitely more angle critical than my 38C Barbers Pole but the upside is that it delivers a seriously close shave. Its nicely balanced and once youve got the hang of it, doesnt feel quite as scary as you may have been led to believe. If youve got your DE shaving technique sorted, youll have nothing to fear from this razor and if my experience is anything to go by will give excellent results.
Review: I am really, really impressed with this shaving cream. I've tried various others and this by far has the most potent and refreshing smell. The lather from it is also superb, mixed in a bowl with a badger brush I got the thickest smoothest cream to date. I've rated this 5 stars, excellent and genuinely recommend it.

Review: I was originally shopping around online for a new electric shaver, when I came across The Shaving Shack. After reading the reviews and talkng to Dan, I bought a 34C. It's a functional, beautifully crafted, compact but hefty instrument. I had to re-learn the shaving techniques I last used over 30 years ago, but it's well worth it - you cannot get this quality of shave with an electric or multiblade cartridge razor. It does take longer, but it's not an unpleasant task any more! Great service from Dan too.

Review: The ldeal way to get a matching quality badger brush and shaving cream set. The brush felt a little coarse at first, but soon softened up after a couple of uses with the shaving cream. And what a cream! It lathers up with incredible ease, directly on the face, and only a pea-sized amount gives more lather than you'll need for your shave. The sandalwood scent is both fresh and subtle. Excellent service from Dan at The Shaving Shack too.

Review: This was my first 'real' DE on my return to safety razors - I had grown up with them as a teenager but like everyone else was seduced by multi-blades until coming to my senses in middle age.
The Parker has a good medium heft to it and is well made with a nice rich nickel finish. Not in Merkur territory, but it is a lot cheaper. The butterfly design makes blade changing easy. The shave is good and close - not too aggressive - and easy to control. The Israeli blades go well with it. A very good value everyday razor in my opinion.
Great service from The Shaving Shack too.

Review: Well some have tried it earlier in life so at 48 I thought - Ok, I will give a DE razor a go but it surely cannot be any better than three blades on a Mach 3 etc. How wrong could I be? I chose the 34c having read several reviews of this and others. Seemed liked a good, reliable and sturdy first choice for a DE razor. REALLY close shave with the Merkur blades supplied. N/S pass followed by a bit of a mix and match with direction has given SUCH an excellent shave , best ever!!! The only negative I can think of is _ maybe the longer handled version would be better for me but, hey ho, will only add one of those to this one, not replace it.
Well done Shavingshack!!!! great service, fast efficient delivery and - Good price too!!
Review: A feather blade and my Mercur Futur I got my best shave ever. One pass with the grain, one pass across the grain and one pass against - WOW! My skin was so smooth, the shave has lasted 4 days so far, I'll be having another go tonight. There was no slight pulling when shaving against the grain that I'd experienced previously. Recommended, but very, very sharp - be careful.
Review: I bought this soap primarily out of curiosity but also because of its claims of skin softening due to the high lanolin content. This soap is without doubt the best soap I have ever used. For a start, the 'puck' that you get is HUGE. I can see this lasting for AGES if used daily, and if used only on a weekly basis...who knows? A year? two years?? The lather produced with my Kent AP12 brush is INCREDIBLE - as thick as the topping on a trifle (yes, really) and SO MOISTURISING. I usually have to use a post shave moisturising lotion with my other soaps ....but after a shave with this, your skin feels incredibly nourished and smooth and calmed. No moisturiser needed at all! Fragrance wise, this has a pleasant, clean old fashioned soapy scent to it (due to it being soap I guess) A nice change to my 'LOccitane Cade soap. In short, this is one classy soap that will please even the most demanding wet shave enthusiast, and has arguably the best lathering and skin softening abilities around. I would definitely pay double if not triple the price for such a good soap.

Review: This is my 1st step into straight razor shaving and I was glad to see a comprehensive starter kit with in the budget I'd set.

Review: Already a confirmed DE razor user, I wanted to see if a Merkur would do the business, so armed with a 570 I gave it a go. I liked the weight and although initially sceptical about the ability to adjust the razor, after some experimentation I did find a setting that was more effective (2.5) although apparently due to manufacturing tolerances these settings are not absolute
To summarise, I liked it. I think to get the best out of your razor and this applies to any, you need to try different shaving soaps and creams and different settings until you find the combination that suits you best.

Review: Tried the 34C HD after years of Gilette cartridge razors. I couldn't believe the quality of the shave on my first attempt! It was a particularly close shave, and nowhere near as difficult as I was led to believe. The razor itself is a lovely piece of equipment, and looks good in your bathroom. It seems bullet proof, and is a joy to use. The shorter handle ensures tricky spots (like under your nose) are still simple to shave, with no nicks.
The razor seemed a lot sharper than my multiblades I used previously, resulting in fewer passes. My face is now smooth to the touch, and the girlfriend noticed a change completely unprompted!

Review: This is a really great soap. Initially, I was frustrated, because I could not get any real lather from it, but since, I have found out that there is really no need for real lather here. The soap is olive oil based, and as such, it will great a clear layer, with which you shave. It works very well, and does look a little strange in the mirror - shaving without lather. It also makes you face feel great, and moisturises extremely well. Since using it, I have enjoyed super-close shaves, that even some of the expensive brands have struggled to match. A real performer, and highly recommended!

Review: I purchased this as my first DE razor and an extremely pleased with it. In the first 5 days I have had one cut due due to getting over confident. I'm now getting the best shaves I've ever had. Will probably try the Merkur Future in a couple of months time just to see if there is any difference. A definate DE convert
Review: Now this is a quality product. When I first decided to experiment with DE shaving, I trawled a lot of websites for advice, and two razors seemed to come up most often as 'ideal for beginners': vintage Gillette Fatboy, and the Merkur Progress. The Fatboy is still on its way from eBay USA; the Progress arrived from Shaving Shack four days ago. Three shaves later, and I'm loving it. My chin is smoother than I've ever managed with a cartridge razor. First time out, I cut myself... second shave, a little razor burn, third shave a little less razor burn. A much quicker progression rate so far than I'd have expected, so don't be afraid to take the plunge with this unit. NB: if, like me, you're a headshaver you might want to stick with the cartridge over the bonce for a while yet - I got a bit overconfident and tried it yesterday and am currently sporting a nasty gouge. Maybe in time I'll try that again, but be warned it is much, much harder to maintain the correct angle on your skull than your chin.
Everything about the Progress screams quality. Nicely packaged (my box, now living in a drawer, arrived broken - post's fault, not Shaving Shack's. It's not the sort of box you'd want to take travelling anyhow, really - and my razor lives on a shelf, so...). A very hefty, solid feeling unit with a much greater sense of quality to it than any cartridge razor (or for that matter electric razor) I've encountered. I feel like I'm using a manly tool when I shave with this!
Review: Just had my first shave after years of Mach 3. It is certainly a more pleasurable experience to shave with the Futur. I am looking forward to using it with a brush and cream, rather than the gel I used today. Also the financial savings are an incentive. I had no problem adapting to this razor - all I really did was take a little more care. Used setting '2' with fine close results, and will probably experiment a little in a few days time.

Product: Pure Bristle Travel Shaving Brush
Review: I recently decided to move away from the 'ordinary' foam / gell in a can approach to shaving, and purchased one of these brushes from the Shaving Shack. I opted for a travel brush as it is still realtively cheap, and meant that if I did enjoy using a brush I would be able to 'trade up' for the home shave, and still have this one for taking travelling. Waste not, want not and all that!
I have used both a solid shaving soap and the cream that comes with this brush, shaving with my Gillette Fusion (hoping to make the switch to a DE Safety Razor shortly). The shave I have been getting is an instant improvement over the goop in a can. The brush works especially well with a solid soap, and I am greatly enjoying the ritual of whipping up a lather and painting it onto my face. Shaving has become something more of a pleasure as a result. The brush works equally well with the cream and I will continue to use the tube I have, though I have discovered that my personal preference is definitely a solid soap.
I am now ready to 'trade up' to a higher quality brush, maybe a badger bristle, but this brush will definitely not be abandoned. I very much intend to keep using it when I'm on the move.
The sole improvement that I think could be made to this brush would be if the storage tube could somehow double as a drip stand. I'm not sure exactly how this could be done - maybe a slightly longer tube with the stand being a circular affair than sits inside it? That would make it the ultimate travelling brush companion, in my book.
Overall, a great product, and one well worth considering for the traveller who needs to minimise luggage but doesn't want to go back to goop in a can. Actually, this brush plus a solid soap would take up much less room on the move, and would also have the bonus that there's no danger of goop exploding in your suitcase! :-)
Review: I received a tube of this cream as a free gift from Shaving Shack, after buying a shaving brush on eBay. This was my first experience of shaving with something other than the goop in a can, supermarket stuff. I did find it a little on the runny side to begin with, though I suspect this is because I used more than is advised. The shave was excellent: I'm still to make the jump to a DE Safety razor, so I was using my current Gillette Fusion. The shave was definitely closer than I normally get with 'oridnary' foam / gell. Very pleasing. I like the aroma - something almost clinical about it. I don't use aftershave, in large part because I've never found one I like the smell of. This cream leaves a pleasant, subtle aroma, clean and fresh.
More recently, I have also been trying out a solid shaving soap. I have actually come to prefer this over cream, though this is more to do with enjoying the ritual of creating a good, thick lather then painting it on than any qualitative issue. I would certainly be open to using this cream again - on balance, I think it's slightly faster than the soap too, if time is of the essence in your morning routine.

Product: Alum Block
Review: Haven't switched to DE razor yet but use this in combination with mach3, brush and cream after a two year shaving sabbatical of a full beard. Works really well to stop any nicks bleeding or redness I used to get from hair growing in odd directions. My wife has kindly translated the instructions from the box as they are in French and she is French " Wet the Alum block and wipe slowly over the face after a wet shave or a little time before an electric shave". Hope this helps.
Review: Got this cream free with my order and have tried it compared to the Taylors' Sandalwood cream. Like has been said previously it is very thin but works really well with a brush and lathered up well. It left my skin feeling good and moisturised. It has a smell of "fragrance free" products a bit like Glenn said in his review. It is a different experience to the much thicker Taylors cream but I would definitely recomend it.

Start on a low level first and shave slowly, then wash you face in cold water and then use an after shave balm I use Nomad balm from Crabtree & Evelyn and enjoy your partner will notice the difference.
