Product: The Bluebeards Revenge Luxury Shaving Cream (100ml)
Review: I get a very close, smooth shave and I dont get that annoying facial irritation afterwards. That alone is golden! The scent is refreshing, too, without smelling like I have a bouquet of daffodils hanging around my neck (as some shaving creams do).

Product: The Bluebeards Revenge Luxury Shaving Cream (100ml)
Review: When the securely and neatly packaged box arrived i knew I was in for a treat - The care a company takes on its image before opening the product says a lot about what it thinks of its own product in the box. Bright blue box and a skull and crossbones - shame i had already shaved yesterday actually. Anyway, it smelt pleasant and natural rather than over scented and false - wait for the real test. The tiniest amount lathered up to a magnificent covering and the first stroke of the razoe told me what I had expected by now - this was special. The razor shaved perfectly with little requirement for another stroke but such was the lather that the razor never felt like it was touching my skin - result NO RAZOR RASH - first time in years. When washed off, the lather leaves no residual stickiness and my skin has been smooth but not sore all day. I am a convert

Product: Proraso Shaving Cream Jar (150ml)
Review: I can't see myself using any other cream/soap more than this one. Put it this way: Each morning after I've showered I look into my cabinet and select a shave soap to use, and 9 times out of 10 it's Proraso cream I'll reach for. It's a full, easy lather, it tracks smooth, it smells fine, and really leaves the skin feeling fresh and renewed. It makes shaving a pleasure, and importantly, it lathers on the face better than any other cream. Give it a go, for the price it punches well above it's weight.
Product: The Bluebeards Revenge Luxury Shaving Cream (100ml)
Review: How can you not be excited to see a tub of shaving cream with a scull and crossbones sitting on your counter? This is a great product. Very thick looking cream in the tub. Loaded some product into my brush, began building my lather in my mug and very soon it was about to run over the top. More lather than I could have used in a week, well close anyway. Started to apply the lather to my face and this great scent began to fill my nose, I can't really pin down what the smell was, but it is highly pleasurable. Very slick lather as I began to shave. Razor glides like a hot knife through butter. Bottom line is Bluebeards revenge is a top shelf product!

Product: The Bluebeards Revenge Luxury Shaving Cream (100ml)
Review: I've been using The Bluebeards Revenge now for just over 4 weeks. As one of the people that "scent tested" it last year it has been a long but worthwhile wait in receiving the finished product. I've been shaving with a double edged razor now for nearly two years, and over this time I've tried a variety of shaving soaps, creams, oils etc, an d haven't been able to find one that I have gone back to. Until now that is. The BBR is just perfect for my THICK, SPIKY stubble, and as testament to this my kids don't mind a good night kiss from me anymore! Firstly, the packaging is great - that skull and crossbones lets you know that this stuff means business. The scent is very clean and soap-like - just as i should be. In terms of lather, I used a tiny amount on my boar hair brush and it produced a rich, thick lather in just a few strokes. The shave itself is made quite easy as BBR keeps the skin very moisturised for those of us who like to make multiple strokes. I have found that unlike other shave creams, a single application lets me shave my whole face in about 10 minutes. Best of all, is that the skin feels smooth and soft to the touch afterwards. I can certainly recommend this cream for any hair types. After a months use I have barely used any, so it should last well. Well done.

Review: Excellent gift set to start off with, very resasonably priced, mine came with the alomond cream and not the sandalwood but going on the quality of the Taylors products this is one to buy.

Excellent product range and very reasonably priced
Product: Taylor of Old Bond St Shaving Cream (Almond 150g)
Review: Superb cream that leaves the skin feeling fantastic. As already mentioned the fragrance of the almond is strong and much like Marzipan. The lather is thick and creamy and means a very good shave.
This is an excellent product that i would highly recommend, have already paid for much more expensive creams an always revert to the Taylors brand - absolute quality
Product: The Bluebeards Revenge Luxury Shaving Cream (100ml)
Review: I have been using my jar of Bluebeard's Revenge for a good few weeks now so I feel that I can give a review covering more than just an initial assessment. The two most obvious things about the cream when I first used it were the scent and the lather. The scent is clean and fresh in the jar, and when lathered on the wet brush the strength seems to increase, without ever becoming overpowering. After the shave is finished and the face dried the scent remains subtly on the skin. The lathering can only be described as excellent. A small amount on the bristles of the brush (nothing special, just plain boar) produces loads of lather instantly when applied directly to the face. The lather is rich, thick and creamy, and easily lasts for 2 or 3 passes. The shave is smooth and the lather provides good lubrication so no irritation to the skin. As the weeks have passed all these good qualities have continued to show themselves, along with one of my favourite things about the cream - it's really moisturising. My skin seems to have improved since I started using it, with no dryness of my face at all. One further benefit of it lathering so well is that after even many uses I have barely scratched the surface of the jar so it looks like really good value for money too. Thoroughly recommended.
Review: I bought this razor about a month ago after alot of thinking and wondering if it would be any good . All i have to say is it's wonderful and the blades you get with it are fantastic ,I wish I'd got one ages ago 100% recommend it
Review: Ever since beginning shaving 18 years ago I have predominantly wet shaved, since I found electric razors poor both in terms of shave quality and the rash they gave me.
I thought that I would settle with the Mach 3 combo forevermore. However after a brief flirtation with the Fusion (expensive, poor shave and ingrown hairs), I reverted back to my trusty Mach 3 combo. As my beard growth has become heavier, I have found myself needing to shave twice a day; both the inherent cost of cartridges and additional time out of my day proving unwelcome.
I started looking for alternatives and had seriously contemplated a straight edge, but after much research settled on the idea that a Merkur razor seemed like the gateway choice to traditional style shaving..
Well with the 38C I think I may have found my shaving partner for life. The razor is perfectly balanced. The weightiness of the razor is a joy to use (rather than the flighty feeling Mach 3s). The machining quality is excellent, and no amount of ergonomic R & D that Gillette invest in will ever come close to the simplistic beauty and comfort of the 38C. The shave is of course superb, easily the closest I have experienced. Less is most definitely more.
A truly fantastic product.
Review: At the age of 53 I've just bought this as my first DE razor. I'm now kicking myself for all the years I've wasted using cartridge and disposables. The shave this gives you is incomparably better. It looks good and is easy to use . Handle offers an excellent grip and the head is easy to manoeuvre. Makes shaving a pleasure and is a bargain at the price- even better it works well with the Israeli blades, which are great value in themselves,

Review: This Parker really cuts lika a razor. It leaves a lot of blade exposed and also keeps a good space between the blade and the comb. The edge of the blade is really sticking out. It's quite easy to cut myself when I don't pay attention. But the shaving feels like an efficient, sharo cutting - not the scraping I've got from other safety razors. Beautiful, simple construction, well-crafted and at a bargain price.

Review: So my boyfriend has been going on about this new bluebeards revenge shaving cream, which he says is supposed to slow down beard growth, I hope so as hes constantly looking unshaven and I wouldnt mind a little less stubble rash!
Its meant to be for real men but I had a sniff of it the other day and it smelt really nice! I decided to steal a bit to use on my legs as I have tried a lot of creams and they still give my sensitive legs a rash. You only need a really small amount as a little goes a long way and its really creamy, the results are great! My legs were so smooth afterwards and no rash, I will definitely carry on stealing and using this cream, Ive never found anything quite like it! Just dont tell my fella, whoops just did :)
Dan says: Thanks for the feedback Tasha. Allthough it is primarily for men there's no reason why women can't use it...just get your own pot!
Review: As everyone has already said this is a great razor. I brought it and use it because every other razor - including electric ones - give me ingrowing hair problems. Using the 2 settling this doesn't, the trade off being a less closer shave - does everyone really want the closest shave any way? My one real criticism that no one else seems to have is that it is impossible to hold this razor when the handle gets wet, it slides all over the place. So much so that I have made a handle grip out of rubber bands!

Review: I've been using, and still am using, the prototype for this brush. We wanted an affordable luxury brush that didn't suffer from what typically happens with more expensive brushes - the sacrifice of stiffness (or backbone) for softer, more luxurious bristles. So, we asked the renowned experts at Progress Vulfix to pack it with as much super badger hair as was possble, resulting in denser and stiffer brush. It truly is a joy to use and has bloomed wonderfully, giving me great lather every time I use it.

Review: First can i say what fun itwas to be a "tester"-shows what sort of life i lead-the product you sent me was, i have to say outstanding, but it seems to me that the full size pot that i have recently received may be a tweaked product, because in conjunction with my Merkur razor, i have just had the best shaves in the past forty odd years. This stuff is truly brilliant, and produces masses of smooth soothing lather, in fact i don't know how you expect to make money from it, as it seems very little is needed-oops shouldn't have mentioned that. This stuff is so good, and i am not suggesting people try this if not very experienced with a razor (and only then at their own risk), but i stupidly got myself rather sunburned on the face whilst fishing, well after only 48hrs i was able to have a normal, if carefull shave, this was only possible i am sure, because of the magical effect of the old Bluebeards Revenge, a true wonder of modern science. I have been using a razor all my life, since i found at an early age that an electric jobby would not touch my beard, and having sensitive skin i have a cabinet full of medieval substances that are supposed to help with the ultimate shave, well they are for the bin, cos all that is needed is in Bluebeards Revenge.

Review: What a lovely piece of work! I feel good just handling it. And of course it works wonders with soap and hot water. I've been using supermarket spray can gel for years - I had the idea that brush and soap was messy and obnoxious. I was wrong. Brush and soap is, with a little training and discipline, just as fast and easy. It gives a better shave with less skin irritation. On top of that it way cheaper. Plus it warms my heart to think that I supported a righteous little factory in the Isle of Man when I bought this Vulfix brush.

Review: Ran out of Taylors Avocado a few days ago and decided to order some Bluebeards Revenge based on reviews here. With Taylors I had to use a pre shave oil as well, just because my beard is so tough. I use a Murker model 42 with a Feather blade. Decided to try the Bluebeards without any oil and it works a treat. It lathers up easily and softens the stubble very well and allowed me to do a 2 pass shave on 4 days growth first thing in the morning which is usually unheard for me. Face felt fresh after the shave without any sign of irritation which I would normally have with my old cream. The scent is great, would love to see more Bluebeard products with the same scent. Well done Shaving Shack.

Review: Better value than shaving soap! I have never experienced such a thick luxurious lather from such a small brush load, easily enough for two proper passes. The lather leaves your skin super slick. Softens stubble better than Taylors (i think) as I can get a downward stoke at the base of my neck with no irritation which is a first. Razor blades seem to be lasting 2 to 3 shaves longer too. Smell is fabulous. Manly without the old man musk. Only criticism is that it could be even stronger. Buy it!!
Review: I've tried about 20 different blades from tens of manufacturers from around the world and these are the best in my opinion.
They have the greatest reputation and with good reason - nothing I've tried is as smooth or as close. They seem to glide through several days' worth of stubble as though it wasn't there and if you don't rush the shave you won't get on their wrong side! For a careful shaver these cannot be beaten.
What's more, I've searched high and low and Shaving Shack's price is the lowest I've found, particularly when you buy them as a 3-pack. I always claim one pack as my free gift for spending over 10... am even tempted to spend 10 on Feathers and claim another pack free - it is worth it!!!!

Review: This brush is excellent with what ever you decide to throw at it. I have using it for a couple weeks since I bought it from the Shaving Shack. It whips up creams and soaps to a perfect lather in no time at all. The tips are very soft and luxurious and I find the handle to be very comfortable. The red display/storage case it comes in has luxury written all over it. It makes it look like you paid double what you did really. The brush lacks density in the Badger hair but I feel Kent purposely did this. If a brush is too dense it could be considered a lather hog meaning the hair doesn't release the lather onto the face. This is a great brush and I would highly recommend it. I will be buying it's bigger brother the BK8 very shortly just to have a bigger brush.

Review: I suppose I should start by saying that I am slightly biased Im much more a fan of lathering creams than I am of hard soaps. I was therefore looking forward to trying this new cream, (after a couple of days without a shave), with my Merkur slant and a fresh Feather. The packaging is very nice and the cream has a pleasant but not overpowering masculine smell. Using my decent brush, a thumbnail sized piece of cream whipped up into a very smooth, thick non bubbly lather well inside a minute. Its a very slick lather and I was able to have three full on Santa style applications with plenty left over at the end. It held well on the face and provided me with a smooth nicely cushioned shave; it also left a pleasant smell afterwards on the skin. This stuff will go a long way on a per shave basis this will actually be a very inexpensive product and its top draw quality as well. A cracking effort from the guys at the Shaving Shack.

Review: Got my Blue Beard this morning and was very impressed.
I have never used a shaving cream, opting for the traditional quality English shaving soaps ( we all know the brands).
The first thing I noticed was the smell, Its not an artificial scented boy band smell but more of subtle man smell that my better half loves.
Any way I gave it a go as I hadn't shaved for over three days so I was ready to give it a good road test.
I used a shaving brush although you can use your fingers if needed. I only slightly dipped the brush into the pot and was amazed at how much really creamy lather was created with ample left on the brush for further passes. I must say the shave was very good leaving my face very smooth and soft and considering I am ready for a new razor with no irritation.
So yep I'm a fan and I would recommend this product to anyone who is after a good close shave leaving your skin silky smooth.

I tried the product the last couple of days and i really like it!. The scent is very 'manly' and seems to let the razor glide really well. I'm a nooby to this way of shaving and really like the way this product feels.
Coming from the Omega shaving cream, i think it's a better product, although a tube of Omega lasts me a long time so i will see if this pot lasts the same.
My face also seems to feel much smoother after using BlueBeards Revenge and seems to feel smoother for a longer through the day, although this might be because of the aforementioned razor glide giving a better razor action.
All in all, i think this a good product, will i change to it? I think it depends on the price compared to Omega.

Review: This is perfect for someone wishing to try using a shaving brush but without a great deal of expense. The initial smell of the brush isn't great but is very easy to banish by soaking it in a solution of something minty. I used some Proraso cream mixed with water. I don't see why toothpaste wouldn't do the job.
Anyway, the brush is big and surprisingly soft. It would suit a gent with a larger face. By taking a little time you can create a serious amount of lather. After a while you may wish to upgrade to a more expensive brush, but I expect many users will be quite happy with its very decent performance.

I have to say that The boys at Bluebeards Revenge have hit the nail right on the head and have produced a lovely product. The first thing you notice is the scent - or more to the point my wife noticed it and liked it - always a good start. Secondly the product lathers up really well using just a very small amount. Review: Just received my pot of Bluebeards revenge this morning, good job it came so quickly as I had not shaved since being told it was coming to give it a good test. The first thing I noticed was the scent nice, fresh and very manly not unlike a certain Taylors cream I like. I normally use a shaving bowl but decided to dip my brush directly in the pot as per the instructions I was staggered at the amount of lather from so little product probably twice as much as the other product I use. I got three passes from one dip of my brush! Given that I have strong stubble and had not shaved for two days Bluebeard got me to smooth in three passes and with little touch up required. I would normally use pre-shave oil in these circumstances but none was required. Very impressed! As with any new product you get to know what works best and so I am expecting Bluebeards performance to get better as I learn how best to use it. Also if it lasts as long as it appears and saves me the cost of pre-shave oil then I will save some money too!

When it initially goes on, it looks thin and incapable of turning into a rich lather, but with a few swirls of the brush the lather is as rich and thick as with the cream, and slippier too. What's more, the residue on the brush is plenty for several more passes, producing the same level of lather, which I DIDN'T expect.
The results are better than I've ever had before - smooth, comfortable skin and no nicks. Will definitely order again. MWF is superb!

Review: I have a Merkur HD and it fits without problems in this case. Will protect my razor while travelling. Will also hold longer razors.
Review: Thank you for this gift!
For me this will be a good addition to my safety razors when travelling and an easy-to-use alternative to my open razors while they wait for resharpening.
Because of the very low price and the easy use/change of blades, I recommend this for everybody who would like to try the feeling of shaving with an open razor.
But attention: Might be the beginning of a further costly passion (but a nice one, anyway).

Product: Omega 49 Professional Pure Bristle Brush
Review: After suffering through a couple of prickly and shedding cheapo brushes I eventually got my act together, and picked-up this quality brush. Dependable, great value, this Omega boar won't win many luxury awards but it will deliver results. With soaps in particular you can really work this brush hard and get yourself some wonderously thick and slick lather, plus as the hairs split the brush becomes softer and less scratchy. Creams I've found fare slightly less well. Yes you can get a good lather, but for me my best-badger brush produces better, with less product used and more heat retained in its bristles, leading to a warmer lather. That aside though the Omega will stand any wet-shaver in good stead, from first-timers to old-hands.

Product: 10 Feather & 10 Derby Extra & 10 Israeli Made Double Edged Razor Blades
Review: Great way to try which blades you like. The infamous Feathers were not as scary as I was lead to believe. Sharp, yes but pretty smooth too. However, after a few days use they seemed to start nicking me.
The Derby's were OK, nothing special. Would be happy to use regularly.
The SS blades were reasonably good. I could 'feel' the blade a bit more with these, they seem a bit thinner. Again, perfectly good and usable on a daily basis.
However, I did find the Gillette blades (purchased separately at the same time) to be my personal favourite. I would recommend trying this pack though to help you test which blades you prefer.

Review: I decided to dip my toe into the world of straights and this is an inexpensive way to try it.When i got the razor i decided to put half a derby blade in it because derbys are more forgiving, but the shave was a bit rough so i tried a feather and had quite a satisfying shave.I think it will take a bit of practice to really master the art of straight shaving but there is something very fulfilling about using a straight to shave and you definately have a lot more control when it comes to shaping sideburns and other facial hair.Give it a try before going all out for an expensive straight setup.

Product: Proraso Shaving Cream Tube (150ml)
Review: I've been traditional wet shaving for about a year now, but have only ever used creams and blades available in pharmacists. I had read about the hype surrounding proraso, so I decided to give it a go as it is a cheap cream.
And it didn't dissapoint. I used proraso and a fresh feather blade for the first time, and got the closest shave I've ever had, and no razor burn on the neck, which is a first for me. It leaves a really nice cooling sensation and makes an excellent lather with only a small amount of cream. If, like me you're experimenting with different creams, proraso is a very safe bet and will not dissapoint. A must have for any wet shaver.

Review: Wow.
This soap is one of, if not the, best soaps I've used.
No nicks, my skin feels hydrated and not dried out, good bye shaving rash.
As someone who grew up using 'goo in a can', at 26 years old and only now discovering wet shaving, products like 'Arlington' are a revelation.
Anyway, the soap itself has a citrus aroma whilst being earthy at the same time. The price, well, seeing as it'll easily last a year or more, especially in a rotation with another fine soap, is absolutely reasonable, go buy some of the latest shave gel from any supermarket, it isn't cheap, it's inferior, oh and it lasts weeks.

Review: This is not just a great starting and very affordable kit for a new wet-shaver, but also a really really well performing gear. Omega shaving cream made by Proraso brings strong eucalypti cooling effect along with the nice scent. It's extremely soothing to skin. And Omega wooden handle shaving brush is a great performer. It just explodes any soap and cream into rich lather in a minute or so. I personally even almost switched to it as to my go-to brush. I recommend this kit to all, who want to try wet-shaving without braking the bank, as well as to the ones who are already experienced and curious of Proraso and Omega products.

Product: Proraso Shaving Cream Tube (150ml)
Review: I bought this despite some concerns over the scent, having seen reviews and comments which made reference to the strength of the menthol smell. The cream certainly does have a strong and unique scent. When you apply it, the cream smells like a mix of toothpaste and Vicks Vapour Rub, but somehow it's actually quite invigorating while you're shaving. It also calms down to a mild minty smell once you've rinsed your face. Also, the menthol/ eucalyptus content provides a lovely cooling feeling while you shave.
I shaved with this for the first time last night, and got a fantastic shave with absolutely no irritation. The cooling effect means it's a really great cream for summer, and one that will be getting plenty more use from me.

Review: Like Mr. Watson, I was rather curious about straight razor shaving, however, I am just downright lazy and really would not be suited to honing and stroping my razor if I invested in a traditional one, so decided to take the plunge and get a shavette.
* THIS PRODUCT DELIVERED WITHIN 2 DAYS =) GREAT SERVICE *
First impressions when I got this razor out of the box was: wow this thing is light. Then the worst nightmare, the fear that the product is faulty! Be careful not to push the arm with the razor blade too far into the casing otherwise you risk jamming it in the casing, which I did unintentionally by dropping it!
Once prised out of the jammed casing, I quickly and effortlessly loaded it up with a derby half double-edged blade and began.... chopping my face to bits! I came out bleeding more than one of Jigsaw's sadistic "games" in the SAW movies.
Once I got the hang of it second time round, my face is as smooth as a baby's bottom and the shavette looks rather cool in my bathroom tidy. Would recommend this product for anyone wishing to break into this hobby.
Would sincerely recommend having a shower first to properly soak your face and open your pores (especially if you have sensitive skin) otherwise you definitely gonna cut yourself!

Review: Well built razor for a good price!
This one's a nice one, good looking too. I've up until now only used cartridge razor (more specifically a fake mach3 razor from lidl), so my reference are not safety razors but razors in general. I find shaving easy and smooth with my light bearded face. I do not generally seek a super close shave, rather a soft, pleasant and non-irritated feeling with some stuble left for good measure.
The razor clearly exceeded my expectations and the price is about the same as gillette fusion (whitout extra cartridges). I cannot do anything but recommend this product.

Product: Parker 33R Black Shavette (SRB)
Review: It's a small tiny shave buddy. I use it to shave my neck area, which is very sensitive to traditional DE razor (I use Merkur 34C), but under mild touches of this shavette my neck goes close shaved and irritation free. Some say that shavettes are a lot less forgiving than the traditional cut-throat razors. Can't argue that since I don't have any experience with straight razors. It very light, but handy enough to keep it angled right. Just a little tip - to loose the fastener cap on top, just push the faux blade a little bit more inside. Worth to try SR1 and SR2 - the metal ones.

Review: Firstly let me say, that I have only smelt TOBS Sandalwood offering, and being an avid sandalwood fan, I wasn't impressed, it did smell very synthetic, almost plastic like the container, and very overpowering. However I can not say the same about T&H's Sandalwood cream. This scent is the way it should be, rich and understated. You can tell they have paid attention to detail, and I was suprised to find I could still get hints of the scent even two hours later, not in a in your face way, but when I had a a really good snff, I couldn't get enough of the stuff. The packaging alone is enough to out do the competition. Latherabilty is excellent, as expected, a little goes along way. If you want the true Sandalwood experience, go for this.

But don't be mistaken, whilst lathering, this is a monster! Excellent water retention, soft bristles, and superb backbone so you can really give your face that vigorous scrub if wanted. One thing I have to mention is the density of this brush, bar none, Simpsons really have jam packed this thing so it gives the experience of shaving with a much larger brush. Superb crasftsmanship, handmade, excellent finish. I could go on all day, but I intend to tkae this brush with me to the grave, but it will probably out live me!
Review: Marvellous blades! I received a gift pack of these with a recent order (thanks Shaving Shack guys!) and gave them a try. Wow. It's the only word that sums up the immediate difference I noticed. These blades are far sharper than my old Merkur blades with no tugging whatsoever. I have a fairly stiff growth and no other DE blade gives me as close a shave as these. They are the only DE blades I have tried that get anywhere close to a straight razor smoothness.
I use with my travel setup when I can't take my straight: T&H; pre-shave oil, Mitchell's Woolfat Soap, razor and best badger brush from D.R. Harris, alum block and Geo. T Trumper Skin Food. Smooth.

Product: Parker 98R Heavy Duty Premium Barberpole
Review: Having found that the replacement blades for my Philips electric razor were going to cost more than the razor itself I decided it was time for a change.
When I started shaving it was with Gillettes but was put off by the cost of replacement cartridges, and the fact that it seemed every time I needed new ones they weren't being stocked anymore so I had to buy a new handle as well. Being a Yorkshire man this strain on my pocket was too much, hence the change to electric.
After much research it was clear that DE was the way to go cheaper blades that may last longer and perhaps an end to the dreaded shaving rash. Unfortunately I then found the clear change wasn't so clear with the number of handles available, so it was back to the research. After many hours trawling the internet I thought I was set on the Merkur 38C from Shaving Shack having seen many positive reviews, especially from new converts, that was until I laid eyes on the Parker 98R, so similar and yet less expensive, it was calling me.
When it arrived I have to say I was astounded by its size and weight, even though it tells you both in the details, it still came as a surprise. However, in use, both are a great advantage allowing you to grip the razor in a way that best suits you and also damping any shake you may have, reducing risk of accidents. For my first shave with a DE this was undeniably of great help to me and I came away nick free with the best shave of my life.
The construction of this razor is fantastic and just oozes quality so lacking in many modern products. From the sharpness of the pattern on the grip, which ensures it wont slip even in soapy hands, to the cleanness of the thread where head joins to handle, meaning this razor will surely outlast me, and I'm only 29!
If you're considering this razor I thoroughly recommend it, you wont be disappointed.

Review: Out of the selection of high-end creams available I believe Taylor's offer the best value-to-performance ratio. There are other creams twice the price that I'd be hard-pressed to recommend over them. After my brush has been soaking I shake out excess water, put a dab of cream inside and work the brush on my face until a slick, creamy lather forms. I consistently great lathers and great shaves this way and this cream never lets me down. The scent is a delicious marzipan which smells strong in the tub but doesn't linger for long, so it won't clash if you like to finish your shave with a cologne or aftershave. Packaging is a sturdy plastic tub, perhaps not the prettiest, but it's the top-notch product inside that'll keep me coming back.

Product: Parker 31R Stainless Steel All Metal Shavette (SR1)
Review: I have always been interested in staright razor shaving, having seen these razors in countless films and such, it always looked so cool. Plus the skill and time involved in maintaining and using these razors is obvioulsy something to take pride in.
However, the straight razors, and the strops and hones required are expensive. Plus I am cursed with sensitive skin on my face. I know, I should just man up and get on with it! But to see if the style and manner of straight razor shaving agreed with me and my tempramental skin, I thought I would give this Parker Shavette a try.
The shavette is quite light in weight although feels solid enough, and is easy to load up with half a double edged blade.
The first time I used it I took it slowly and managed to work it round the contours and angles of my face, although still managed to end up with so many nicks, nacks and then some more nicks that Spike Milligan could have done a poem about the experience! I have used it a few times since and I am getting better, although still getting used to it.
It does give a smooth result, and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted to give straight razor shaving a bash.
