Review: A friend told me he's gotten different results with different razors. This point should be taken into consideration when using these blades. I use an old, apparently unnamed Gillette DE razor. The result? It doesn't cut. But it doesn't irritate either. And no nicks.
With a razor that gives a sharper angle I imagine this could cut better. And considering the 'no irritation, no nicks' factor, these might just be the blades for a person with very sensitive skin. So if you get these, try it with different razors if possible.

I ordered a pack of these Israeli blades, Feather blades and Derby blades. I also ordered Treet originals and Gillette 7 O'Clocks.
These, the Israeli blades: three passes, no irritation, result smooth as if shaven by the old unnamed Gillette blades! These blades are sharp enough to cut the hair without problems, but the shave is still smooth as not to irritate my skin. I am well satisfied.

Review: I ordered this shaving cream from another place and I've got the different box than featured here, but the stuff inside is the same.
Scent is strong at first but during the shave after it's milder�very pleasant. This doesn't smell one bit synthetic.
Lather is thick and creamy, providing a smooth shave.
The only downside to this is that soaps last much longer.
If you're looking for sandalwood shaving cream, this is my top recommendation.

Review: A fine piece of German craftsmanship this little razor is excellently made with a real feel of quality to it. The chrome head and comb fit together wonderfully holding the blade very snug and securely, the long metal threaded screw then mates with the short rather thin machined handle giving this razor a head heavy rather stubby feel. The razor head glides effortlessly over the skin offering a comfortable and close shave however I will say that the short handle and head weight may take a while for you to get used to depending on what you�re shaving with currently.

Review: Have been using this cream for approximately 2-3 months now and I must say its excellent. The lather is rich and ample form just a small portion. The richness of the lather is also perfect and in fact beats Trumper and Taylor in some respects. The beard reducing aspect isn't important for me personally but I may have noticed a slight reduction in the stubble recently. The scent is also quite nice and fresh. Overall I would say this is a pedigree product.

Initially I was having trouble getting a consistent lather, especially living in a hard water area. It is well worth the input though, with a little effort it is possible to make an excellent lather.
I prefer to use a slightly stiffer brush, and spend about twice as long making the lather compared to other soaps and creams.
It is well worth it though, I and get an amazing amount of thick, creamy lather, enough for more passes than I need to make!
I also love the packaging, it has that lovely traditional quality of days gone by that makes your grandfather go misty eyed talking about "the good 'ole days"

I found it easier to use a small blob in a mug , that made a great lather that lasted well and was less messy than doing on your face but thats just personal preference .

Review: I have used the Futur for 2 years now and found it to be excellent tool. I had previously suffered razor burn from cartridge razors and using this made a huge difference. Keep it on the number 1 setting and shave in the direction of growth and voila no razor burn. The razor feels good and weighty in the hand and changing the blade is a doddle. Merkur, Derby and Feather blades fit beautifully.

Review: I have just taken delivery of the new safety razor from the shave shack crew . I wanted to start using a safety again after a few years of using a straight razor and a shavette (the shavette more due to long prep work need in a normal straight) . I have had a parker for years but was never taken by its look nor weight , but now a few years down the shaving line I decided to invest in a new �grown up� safety . I wanted a good quality well built razor so was looking to spend a bit more because it would be my last for a good few years . After reading many reviews on this site and others I had made my decision on a rather expensive brand that had great looks and at the ideal heavier weight I prefer. But then as always I come to my senses regarding money and started looking at a more cheaper model , that is about the time bluebeard brought out the Scimitar DE razor , I read the few reviews I could but in the end just took the plunge as the price was more than half the one I was going to buy. Well the first shave was a little sore which was down to me getting my skills back and also getting used to the heavier weight . but the second , third and now just after my forth shave it really has the feel and shave of a executive DE razor but over half the cost .The build quality is second to none as all the parts fit nicely together . The weight is about twice of you standard mach 3 which gives it the legs to cut the stubble off with little pressure to the skin thus leaving no sore skin. I love the jolly roger on the head and the look is very classy. If you are taken by proper shaving razors but don�t want to spend the earth on expensive razors then this is the puppy for you . well done bluebeards!!!

The oil is very light and doesn't appear to be clog up the razor. It has a gentle citrus aroma to it that adds to the pleasure of using it.

Forget those days when you dabbed your entire face with bloths of tissue paper or white marks left behind behind by a styptic pencil, just rub this natural gem around your damp face shortly after shaving making sure the block is wet and it will magically seal any nicks or cuts that you may have. It also gives you a feedback on certain areas where you went too deep on during your shave, it will sting a little, if man enough to take it but after a while you just become used to sting and it'll be a walk in the park. I highly recommend this product 100% natural and good for both normal and sensitive skin it also take away the redness resulting a shave. The alum block has a long life span providing you dry it after use.

10000X better than a million blade cartridge razor.
This is my first metal DE razor and so was very smooth on the skin and feels and looks like a quality product. The razor itself has a large enough gap between the blade and bar to help prevent a build up of stubble (particularly good if you have a thick bristle) in the razor.
Instead of debating if you should buy it, just take a chance, it is worth the money and the customer service and delivery speed of The Shaving-shack is amazing. Possibly the best customer experience I have experienced, in particular the ability to ask a question, Dan was exceptionally helpful in answering any questions I had.

Review: I just tried my BLK4 for the first time today , and I must admit it was love at first stroke . Its size is perfect, and sits comfortably in your hand. The bristles are in perfect balance between too floppy (unlike its monster brother BK12 which felt like a mop on my face and I therefore passed it on to a friend) and too hard , and build great lather very quickly.
I've never encountered a better value for money brush , and this one is sure to become one of my favorites in my rotation . I can only imagine what it's like when the brush is properly broken in.
If you only go for one shaving brush I would strongly recommend the Kent BK/BLK4 as the brush of your choice !

Happily surprised at the build quality and weightiness which was just right for me. The sahe seemed much closer than my old cartridge system and with less rash. I am now a definite convert - i might try the Bluebeards Revenge cream next...

Review: This soap I have used since I started. Lathering was really easy and the smooth texture is just simply the best base for a real clean, close shave. Nearest cream is Bluebeards!
Review: This Razor is worth every Penny. Having spent two years using a Parker, the month required to un-learn those techniques and become accustomed to this razor, was time well spent. This is quite an aggressive device, even on it's lowest setting, but plenty of proper pre-shave prep should combat that. Once you become comfortable with this razor you can start dialing up the range of settings and getting closer on each pass. The only issue with this razor is the handle and its lack of grip, I have found by a helpful tip from a friend that by adjusting my grip position this can be eliminated, I did think this was expensive originally but I have come round to the conclusion of it's worth. 9/10.

Review: Most websites related to DE shaving will refer to this as the ideal starter razor for new comers and as a new comer it is hard to imagine how another razor could better this.
Simple and well weighted, and a few shaves in with the Merkur blade provided and I'm already getting good results.
If you are considering converting I'd really start here, well worth the price and will ultimately save you more - you'd even get a free pack of excellently rated blades if you order from here!

Review: I recently used this after having used Proraso pre/aftershave for years and I can say that it feels great on the skin and its scent is slightly unique and has an Iberian flavour to it. Is it better than the Proraso - I would say it is slightly a class above it which may justify the price increase and it should be used sparingly to make it last. It reduces razor burn effectively and your skin will feel well moisturized so I would say this is a excellent choice as an aftershave.
Review: After swearing by Fusion Power razors for so long I thought I'd give DE shaving a go after rave reviews from a friend of mine. I decided to go for a Timor razor and feather blades and I have to say - I don't think it matters at all if you're new to DE shaving and want to try these blades! They are incredibly sharp but after a few very slow, cautious shaves I've cracked it and I'm getting the closest shave I have ever experienced. Truly brilliant quality and although I have no other blades other than Fusion cartridges to act as a benchmark I don't think I will even bother trying any other blade. In fact I've just ordered my fourth pack! Although I don't think I will ever swap my Fusion for a DE when shaving my head - with these blades I might lose a bit more than stubble!
Review: These were my free gift on my last order, not the only DE blade I have tried, also tried some of the Gillette and Wilkinson blades. People tend to be very scared of these, but if you concentrate on the shave and use gentle strokes like you should, you will get one almighty BSS! Seem to have very high quality control. Will be purchasing more! Wish they had packs of 100 to buy...

Review: Smooth, comfortable and sharp these blades are a step up from the Wilkinson Sword blades that I previously used and will make a regular appearance in my kit bag.
Review: I always fancied having a go but the outlay was too much if I decided it was not for me. I then saw the shave shack shavette at a price I could not, not give it a go. On arrival through the door I went and tried it out. It was 1-0 to the shavette. I have since read a few sites on how to use this type of straight razor and I am progressing quite well. My enthusiasm is spreading as others are giving it a go now. There is somthing quite nostalgic about it. The smell of the shave soaps & creams is fantastic. I am now looking to progress onto a full blown "cut throat". Fantastic shaving experiance.

Review: I started shaving with a plastic DE razor a couple of months ago just to see if it was for me. As soon as I was happy with my technique I upgraded to the Merkur 34c and I haven�t looked back. It is a superb piece of craftsmanship and an absolute joy to use. I�ve become a bit of a shaving nerd and my girlfriend laughs every time she catches me looking on-line at different soaps and blades. I don�t care though. For the first time in over twenty years I am happy with my morning shave, in fact I actually look forward to it. Never thought I would ever say that. Review: I got this Taylor Of Old Bond Street Aftershave Gel Balm after owning and really enjoying their shaving soaps, especially in Sandalwood. Results are of a similar high quality with it leaving your skin feeling fresher immediately after application. It�s a less masculine and lighter fragrance than some others so I would call it more of a refreshing scent but still has a good body to it. Another important benefit is that as well as being easily applied and spread onto the face, it doesn�t seem at all sealing or greasy afterwards. It�s just like your preshave face back again! It�s also alcohol free and is exceptionally gentle.
Review: I've been using a Wilkinson DE razor for the past few years so I'm used to shaving this way. Using the Merkur Futur 760 was a massive improvement and step up, simply in terms of the quality of shave and the added control you get. The balance is perfect and the settings allow you to determine how close a shave you want. I am extremely comfortable with this razor and am very glad I decided to purchase it. Thoroughly recommend this razor.
Review: This is an excellent razor. The build quality is obvious from the moment you remove it from the packaging, in addition a very well balanced razor which more than compensates for its' slightly weighty feel. I like the knurling as I have found some razors can twist in the hand when wet. I have now been shaving with this for a few days and cannot see myself returning to my Merkur.
Pros: well made, won't break, very close shave, low incidence of razor burn.
Cons: price (but it will probably be the last razor you buy).

Review: Having used their aftershave balm for a couple of years, I always wanted to try Tabac shaving soap and have been doing just that recently. The lather is easily whipped up into a rich creamy mix which doesn't fade on the face during the shave, staying soft and providing excellent cushioning and comfort. Afterwards my face wasn't dried out or tight feeling and there was no irritation whatsoever. The ceramic bowl is great looking too and the puck size is legendary making this great value. A recommended quality product from a superb, long established company.

Review: I have left it 12 months for a proper unbiased review. The 38C was my first step into DE shaving. I chose it from SS as it was a very keenly priced UK website.
I ordered a selection of blades to go with it, and started with the feather baldes....I never looked back. Firstly they are THE best DE blades about. Patience, research and light pressure means even for the first time user, they offer amazing results without nicks and cuts. Rush or be heavy fisted and you'll know about it though!!
To start with I wasn't getting brilliant results from the DE, but after making sure i showered, used a decent foam and brush, and made 3 passes, I ended up with a fantastic shave.
The 38C is a nice weighty unit, great looking and feels like it will last a lifetime.
Shaving is now a joy, no irritation, a clean shave and it just looks damn cool with the extras you can by :D
My shaving setup, dax and brylcream for my hair, Euthymol for my teeth....I'm like a retro geek, but i get compliments from all who see my setup :D
Just bought my first shavette from SS to have a little play.
Overall. Give DE razors a go, give them a bit of time, don't rush, use feather blades, and you'll have an amazing shave.

Review: Moved onto this model after starting with a Merkur 34c. Nice and heavy, although the grip could use some knurling to save it slipping when wet. Tried all the settings up to 6, and after a few nicks went back down to 3! A quality piece of equipment that looks good, and will last.
