Author: Ross Unsworth For the price the sample pot will go quite a long way. I am very happy with this product as it acts very like Geo F Trumper Skin food in the way it calms and seals the skin. Smell is non-descript but pleasant, and the presence of Aloe vera is a definite plus for my sensitive skin. Texture might be off putting for some people as it is close to a slimey gel, but stick with it, this is a good product.
Author: captn.jack This stuff looks quite slimey, it has a chemical smell initially but this vanishes as it absorbs into the skin...I apply this after the alum block...it's very nice and cool after the shave, keeps your skin moisturised, but matt looking.
Author: Neil Robinson Absorbs well and your skin does feel sticky until it's dried in but it does a good job. No scent, but has a pirate logo which more than makes up for it.
Author: Anthony Richards At the risk of sounding like an outlier, I don't like the branding of Bluebeards Revenge (or the fact there's no apostrophe in 'Bluebeards' come to think of it) so I was reluctant to buy a large tub that would sit on my counter for ages. The branding kind of leads you to think that this will be strongly scented crazily coloured goo but I will have to beg forgiveness for my misconceptions because this simply isn't true. This is a quality product - it has a really nice scent which isn't overpowering and the balm has obviously been designed to be a brand beater. It really does calm after a close shave. I may decant in to a different container but I'll definitely buy more of this in the future.

I requested this as a free gift when ordering some of the bluebeards shave cream (Which by the way is fantastic also) and its great, it eases razor burn, soaks in really well not leaving you feeling sticky, and a wonderful smell, reminds me of my dad's old cologne. Even my wife loves the smell - so eveyones happy. Dont think twice just buy it. No regrets 5 Stars
Author: Adam Povey Being a fully paid up member of the Carl Sagan scepticism society I was very dubious as to the claims of this product having used all manner of creams,.lotions and moisturisers including some stunningly expensive ones to relieve razor burn. My sample arrived this morning so I took the opportunity to test it out after shaving my two day growth of beard. The smell I would describe as clean and modern but that pales into insignificance compared to the results which were fantastic. It feels cool on the skin and relieves the burn almost immediately. I will be buying the full sized jar as soon as my meagre budget allows. Yes it does look a tad slimy in the tub but dries extremely quickly on the skin leaving not stickiness or residue. This is a must have product full stop.
