After reading the previous reviews, I splashed out and got one. I followed the advice and got it with the wooden bowl and have to agree with the previous reviews, with one addition. The wife and daughters love the smell! Just waiting for the refills to come back in stock. Thanks for the review and heads up!

This was one of the first hard shaving soaps I tried and is one I will always come back to. The scent is pleasant and it's easy to mix up a rich, durable lather even if you're new to wetshaving. It's skincare qualities can't be faulted and a puck lasts long enough to make this a great value for money luxury. With most shave/grooming/scent products I'm a huge Trumper fan so it's a big deal for me to say that I'd take this over any Trumper shaving soap. Get this with the wooden bowl if you can afford to, add beauty and class to your bathroom shelf.

Like Damien, This was the first hard soap i had ventured into, although i hadn't heard of the shaving shack so bought it elsewhere. Needless to say this is a fantastic soap, and is very easy to make up into a rich lather - highly recommended!
