Don't be put off by the strangeness of an "Avocado" scent, it really is a mild and natural aroma. I found it quick and easy to produce a thick lather. It also has great moisturising properties, like most Taylor creams. I agree with many who have made it their Taylor cream of choice...try one today!

Coming from synthetic 'goo' out of a can, I was quite shocked at how luxurious this product was. The lather, when done properly, is thick, warm and wet - perfect for a close shave and a million miles from the dry foam I've been using for years. The scent is subtle and pleasing and wears off quickly after your shave, to give your aftershave a chance to take over. Taylor are one of the big "Three T's" and are highly rated for good reason, their avocado cream being one of their most famous products.

An excellent cream that produces a thick creamy lather with a really fresh scent. If you feel it's too thick, add more water - just like with any cream, each one is different. I heard some people compare this to the Body Shop shaving cream but they are very different in scent - this one almost smells like fresh cucumber to me - it's really nice, and much easier on my skin than the sandalwood version (which although I love the scent and lather, smells a little more artificial due to the added perfume). For people with sensitive skin, this is really better than most of the perfumed creams from Taylor and it lasts forever, making it a really good buy!

I bought this cream to use when my face was sore, I have probably used this more than any of the creams I have (even when my face was fine!). great lather and lovely scent, good cushioning and glide - every wet shaver should have a pot of this in their bathroom.

This is by far the best cream I've ever used, and I've used a few! Cushiony, rich lather that will turn your shaving into a new experience.

I love this stuff. It lathers with such ease and the scent smells so fresh and just makes you want to shave with it. I've been getting such a great lather by face lathering and the result is a lovely smooth shave with great protection and a great feeling afterwards even before any balm is added. Excellent shaving cream at a fantastic price. Half the cost of Truefitt and Hill or Trumper's with a very similar level of quality. My personal favourite is the almond one but this avocado is nice and light.

Ideal for those just getting into wet-shaving and a tub will last for months!

This is my first proper shaving cream and as others have said it is a world away from the can of blue foamy gel goo....

I went for the Taylor's after reading lots of recommendations on the web and comparing the reviews to the cost. The Avocado in particular seemed to be getting good shout outs and I liked the idea of a fresh but subtle smell....

Again as it my first proper cream I have nothing but the goo to compare with so this is aimed at reassuring a newbie rather than a critical review of the product.

Lathers up easily with only a small finger tip full of cream. The lather feels so much nicer on the face than the goo and when worked in to the face with a good brush (see Shaving Shack Buccaneer pure badger brush) provides a great cushion for the shave.

The sent is very subtle, like others I get cucumber....will be great for the summer. For the winter I think I would like something a bit heavier though so will be trying one of the other TOBS creams soon....I would buy again but as there are so many others out their to try, it might be a while before I do.

For those of you on the fence about this cream, get down! If you like the fresh smell of freshly cut grass and melon, this is for you! Again, easy lathering as with all creams. I prefer a wetter lather with creams as they tend to dry my skin after a pass. Great service from Shaving shack as always!

As a newbie to the Shaving Shack's realms, I have to sat that I absolutely love this shaving cream. It's so luxurious and a tiny fingertip-sized amount gives me enough thick, creamy lather to cover both legs. The avocado scent is natural and smells very 'clean', if you know what I mean.

I've previously tried some of my partner's Bluebeard's Revenge cream and, although he loves it, I found that the formula irritated my sensitive skin somewhat. However this Taylor's cream is perfect for me. Come summertime I may indulge in one of the frutier scents!

As with all Taylor's creams they are all easy to make a lather. Simple, and you don't need much.

The smell is hard to put a finger on. Yes it smells somewhat similar to Avocado but it also has a clean green smell to it. Call it grassy, kiwi, dragonfruit smell, it is definitely different.

Get it if you want to have a different fragrance in your range. I like using it and I will recommend this to you, and you will like using it too!
