The Chubby has been acknowledged as the finest shaving brush available today. Established in 1919 Simpson & Co continue to make the world's finest hand made shaving brushes using techniques that have not changed since the firm was founded. Each handle is turned on a lathe, polished and then filled by hand with a "knot" of fine quality selected Chinese badger hair. The hair for each knot is sorted, weighted and tied by a skilled craftsman who then carefully cements the knot into the handle. The handle is then etched with the name of the brush. This is the most luxurious soft tipped hair you can buy and is my own favourite for such a large and dense knot. It blooms out wonderfully well, and quickly too, meaning that you'll be getting the maximum comfort while lathering immediately after starting to use this superb brush. The handle is comfortable too and the Chubby can deal equally well with both soaps and cream, to make a rich protective beard covering during your wet shave. I have no doubt in recommending this one and it will serve you well for many, many years.
