I found the CH2 too big for me, and it's a bit of a lather hog. You really have to squeeze up the lather from its depths.
It's scrubby when new but really softens up. Great if you like a large, soft brush.
Would be great if Shaving Shack offered this brush in other sizes and grades.

It was recommended to me by Dan of The Shaving Shack as the most desired quality brush on the planet and did not disappoint my high expectations. Author: Henrik Fredriksson This must be the 5th Simpson brush I bought at Shaving Shack. It�s a big brush. I enjoy it a lot. Terrific for face lathering. Very luxorius and comfy- however I do prefer it�s smaller brother CH1. But seriously this brush have been a best seller for Simpsons since the 40�s. The prefered brush of the original Simpson family as well. Buy with confidence. Bare in mind that it�s very dense (good thing) so it will take more than a day to dry completely. Me myself am fine by that.
Author: Alex Having owned this for a few months now I can honestly say it is the best shaving brush I have ever owned. The tips become softer and softer with use, making it feel fantastic. Combine this with its legendary density and perfectly ergonomic handle and you've got a real winner. Some of the negativity towards this brush comes from, I believe, people not using it properly. You do need to use more soap and that does take more time. Also I would really only face lather with it. I have used a bowl but when it excels so much straight to the face why complicate things? I regularly use it with Mitchell's Wool Fat, which is supposedly difficult to lather, with no problems at all.
I do rotate this with other brushes and do generally prefer smaller brushes, however if I was allowed only one, desert island brush this would be it.
The measurements of mine are: 28mm knot & 50mm loft.
