Author: P Vickery Not a bad shave using this cream. A bit thin / runny. Different apply to the face and then using your brush to foam it up.

Author: D Southern I'm used to a thicker cream like Taylor's , so I was a surprise on how well this lathered up with a brush! overall it gave a very good shave, gave a soft facial scrub too, which was a bonus.

Author: Paul Clarke Very nice cream... used it before I made the switch to de shaving with my old wilky quattro and even then thought it was good..... using a ''proper'' razor and it's even better............ recommended !!!

Author: Mark Woodcock An excellent cream. It is quite thin to apply but lathers well with a brush so you only need a small amount. It gives a very good shave with my Merkur Vision 2000.

Author: Glenn Roberts Not as thick as I'd expect, but it is cream and I'm used to 'foam from a can!' It works up really well with a brush on your face, a tip from an earlier review. It does have an unusual smell (to me anyway), neither particularly unpleasant or pleasant, but different. It leaves my skin feeling good after a shave, and that's the main thing! I don't really have a comparator, so I might try another product next time, but as this is on offer anyway, I would say give this product a go! It defintely does the job.

Author: Douglas Broughton Having just started using a safety razor and determined to do it properly i was against using anything out of a bottle. I got this product as a free gift to put in the caravan for convenience , but i had to try it didnt i. What a fab product. It would get a lather on a coconut. When i have waded through the load of soaps i bought to try ( boys toys) i will use this full time

Author: Martyn J Got this cream free with my order and have tried it compared to the Taylors' Sandalwood cream. Like has been said previously it is very thin but works really well with a brush and lathered up well. It left my skin feeling good and moisturised. It has a smell of "fragrance free" products a bit like Glenn said in his review. It is a different experience to the much thicker Taylors cream but I would definitely recomend it.

Author: Gavin S. I received a tube of this cream as a free gift from Shaving Shack, after buying a shaving brush on eBay. This was my first experience of shaving with something other than the goop in a can, supermarket stuff. I did find it a little on the runny side to begin with, though I suspect this is because I used more than is advised. The shave was excellent: I'm still to make the jump to a DE Safety razor, so I was using my current Gillette Fusion. The shave was definitely closer than I normally get with 'oridnary' foam / gell. Very pleasing. I like the aroma - something almost clinical about it. I don't use aftershave, in large part because I've never found one I like the smell of. This cream leaves a pleasant, subtle aroma, clean and fresh.
More recently, I have also been trying out a solid shaving soap. I have actually come to prefer this over cream, though this is more to do with enjoying the ritual of creating a good, thick lather then painting it on than any qualitative issue. I would certainly be open to using this cream again - on balance, I think it's slightly faster than the soap too, if time is of the essence in your morning routine.
