For over 80 years Proraso has been the leading Italian barber shop shaving brand.

This formula has been developed to create ample protective lather for a multi pass shave and has a very fresh, clean scent. Added Aloe helps keep skin moisturised while added Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant that helps to repair and protect it both during and after shaving.

Proraso shave cream should be applied with a brush. Also available in a tube. For best results use in conjunction with Proraso Pre and Post Shaving Cream.

The Shaving Shack verified purchase.

Like all Proraso products, simple to use, effective and great value for money. The smell of this cream is totally unique, unlike the rest of the Proraso lineup and only available in the tube. Definitely worth it if you want an easy to lather cream, for hard water and/or for sensitive skin.

The Proraso shaving creams offer top value for money, lather easily and come in a cool retro tube. As such they're a good place for beginners to start, experimenting with the balance of cream to water doesn't hit you in the pocket.
Out of the 4 ranges though the blue is my least favourite. I find it dries quickly on my face and thus doesn't provide the best glide for me. More than anything, I'm not a fan of the scent. It's quite sweet and my wife said it smelt like being in an Abercrombie & Fitch shop. Could be interesting for those looking for a modern scent. Frankly you can't go wrong at this price.

LOVE the white tub! Green is a classic;) Red.... not personally for me. but the BLUE is good! infact its better than good!!! delivers a superb creamy lather wich leaves your skin velvety smooth with a barrior of protection after shaving. (thanks to the aloe) like the white tub! its nor perfumed in any way, but has more of that classic babrbor shop clean smell to it.lol.

Fantastic product, just used it for the first time. Masses of thick creamy lather but very little scent. Very comfortable shave with no irritation. I shall certainly get this again or try the green one next time.

This may be love or hate due to its unique scent. I like the scent, very young and weirdly refreshing. The performance is great. Cushiony lather with slick feel and some sort of subtle cooling agent.

Used this for my very first DE shave. The scent wasn't strong but still gives a good lather and nice shave and looks like the tube will last for a long time. The only problem with this is that it does dry if its left on the face too long so you either need to apply more water or cream.

As a big fan and regular user of Proraso products, I have been disappointed with the blue shaving cream. I also found that it dries quickly after being applied even if you use a fair amount of water. As such I've found it doesn't offer as much protection as the green (which appears to be the benchmark). The smell is one of those things that you either love or hate. I found it quite nice. Overall though I'd choose one of the other types over this as it didn't offer enough protection and left me with a lot of irritation.
