Author: Richard Wall Even though I have enough soaps to last me many years I had to see if this lived-up to the hype as one of the most lauded soaps in wet-shaving, and after a week of great shaves I can report that it is a superb soap. Easy to lather with a nostalgic old-time scent of warm, soapy spice spice, which isn't overpowering if it's not your thing. Doesn't dry-out the skin like some soaps do. Just an all-round great performer and comes foil-wrapped with a plastic base/holder, ideal for travel. Best of all though is the price. 3.49 for a chunky 100g stick of top quality soap is a fantastic bargain and should be on every wet-shaver's 'Wanted' list.
Author: Christopher I struggle to find fault with Tabac. Before buying it for the first time I read numerous reviews which seemed to suggest that its scent divided opinion, though all seemed to agree that it produced a great lather. I was therefore pleasantly surprised on opening it to find a scent that I immediately loved. If I had to define my idea of an old-school scent this Tabac spiciness would be it. The lather is always great. In fact, I find its near impossible to get a poor lather from Tabac, and a little really does go a long way which, considering the low price and the countless shaves a 100g will give, makes this a great buy. Everything about Tabac the scent, the lather, the price guarantee it a constant place in my rotation.
