Affordable and unique design!
Parker are well known for manufacturing double edge razors since 1973 and have used their shaving expertise to create this affordable yet stylish and distinctive razor.
This razor is a close relative to the straight razor with the difference being that the blades can be changed, just like a safety razor. This means you don’t have to worry about stropping and sharpening yet enjoy the closeness of a straight razor shave!
Weight: 34g
Note: This will take standard double edged razor blades. Simply snap a double edge blade in half (lengthways). – click here for the blade replacement guide (PDF)
For guidelines on how to shave with this razor please see our “How to use a Straight/Cut-Throat Razor” section of our FAQ, remembering that you won’t need to strop or hone!

I bought the Parker 34R Shavette with the intention of using it purely to touch up my regular shave on areas I find it tricky to get super smooth. I found it a bit tricky to use at first, but after a few weeks practice I’ve been rewarded with the smoothest (and, most importantly, blood free) shave of my life. This has now replaced over GBP60 worth of DE razors to become my daily shaver, and at just over a tenner is a complete steal. Stop reading this and buy one now!

For just over GBP10 this is a great little shavette. I us it in conjunction with my Edwin Jagger safety razor to do all the fiddly little bits where you really need to get in tight, like under the nose and the neckline.

This is my first straight razor and I must say I’m very pleased with it.
It’s light and has a nice feel to it without it looking or feeling cheap. The blade is easy to change and snaps in without any bother.
All in all get this blade if like me, just starting out in the world of cut throat shaving and don’t want to spend GBPGBPGBPGBP on a 5/8 razor and honing equipment only to find it’s not for you.
But be warned its addictive and very satisfying

So after a few months of shaving with a Merkur 38C I decided to take the plunge in to purchasing a Straight razor. However after researching decided the shavette was a more affordable option and I am more than happy with this bit of kit and look forward to using it every time I pick it up. It is in a lot kore use then my Merkur now and can’t believe I didn’t buy this sooner.

Had this for a few weeks now and I’ve only used it on a Saturday morning as a treat to my face. It’s really quite difficult to use but keep at it, it’s worth it, it’s the shave of your life. Be steady and keep the faith, it’s worth it, according to Bond, James Bond, and myself….for real men who want a real shave.

Never tried straight/shavette shaving before – but surprisingly enjoyable and not as hard as I thought it would be!
This is a well made little razor, easy to use. Nice traditional design – and surpringly sturdy feeling – especially for the low price tag!
Still back to my Parker 91R for everyday – but this is a fun alternative!

As a first step into using a shavette the Parker 34r is a good place to start. The razor itself feels nicely balanced in the hand and the blade holder and clip really hold the blade firmly in place. The styling and finish on the metal parts is higher quality than expected for the price, unfortunately the plastic parts had a lower quality of finish although probably more in line with the level of finish you would expect for a product at this price. In conclusion the Parker 34r shaves well, looks good and is extremely well priced.
