I bought the Parker 91R after reading reviews on the benefits of this type of razor compared to the Mach3 type. Fantastically impressed by the closeness of the shave and the comfort when using it. Having used normal disposable razors for the last 25 years wish I had realised this razor was far far superior years ago. No rashes, no red skin, no dragging, far closer shave. Fantastic.

Having being new to "proper" shaving, I decided to contact The Shaving Shack for some info. Dan got back to me & recommended this razor as a good starter razor that won't cost the earth & will give me the quality shave I'm after. Well kudos to Dan, as this is a superb starter razor & has given me the best shave I've ever had. No razor burn or cuts either. Superb. A+

This was my first 'proper' razor after years of spending a fortune on the types of razors that require batteries and numerous blades. Have to say that after learning how to shave properly (not too many nicks) I am very impressed by the closeness of the shave. the weight (heavier than Gillette Mach whatever )and dimensions of the razor are just right and allows for a controlled shave without razor burn. Just one point. Don't drop it as the plated finish will show it!

Bought this razor a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I love it. The weight of it does the work for you which helps reduce shaving burn, and it makes a really satisfying sound as it cuts through the stubble. I've tried Feathers and Derbys in it and have achieved excellent results with very few nicks once I'd gotten used to it. Still to try Israelis and my trusty Wilkinson Swords in it, but given the results so far I'd be surprised if it did a bad job. It looks the business too! Great razor for the price!

Having spent lots of money on fusion and the like razors!.II Bought my self a chaep DE wilkinson razor got good results,How ever deciderd to get a quelity razor and orderd a PARKER 91R .Orderd it monday it arrived wed morning.I I Orderd it via telephone and Dan still gave me shave point s.The quality is excellant ,a good weight to use ,use feather blades .Finest shave i have had .Ithink a merkle wil be my next venture .!!! .Service mega thnx shave shack

I'm new to DE shaving to went for a razor that was one recommended for beginners. I love the weight and balance of this razor, I'll not need to try another make or type, I'm keeping this one!

After trying out a cheap plastic de razor and deciding that DE shaving was for me I took the plunge on buying a "proper DE razor" After much deliberation I plumped for this Parker 91R as I wanted a razor with a decent weight to it as I have very dense thick hair growth (think Desperate Dan crossed with Homer Simpson). Added to that the criss cross pattern on the handle for increased grip and this is an excellent razor giving me the closest shave I have ever had. The price in comparison to the equivalent Merkur razor was also a deciding factor. Overall an excellent purchase for me.

Having trawled the site for reviews for a "beginners" DE razor I plumped for this one. Not at all disappointed. Balanced, simple to use and effective razor. I have had a full beard and 'tache for over 5 years and decided enough was enough of looking like papa smurf. So far, so good with this razor, really pleased with the cost savings of not having to buy damned gillette mach 3/4/5/6/7 whichever is the latest gizmo.

Have to say, very impressed with postage too.. arrived in two days.

My other half bought me this as a present. I got a cheap Boots DE a while back and was amazed how much better it was than my horrible Fusion! Just had my first go with this one and it's a great razor! Super close shave with Wilkinson Sword blades. Looking foward to trying it with some feathers! It's a good weight and cuts thorugh stubble with ease! Love it!

Great first DE razor. It's a serious and heavy bit of kit, but once you get used to it it gives an awesome shave. Using with Wilkinson Sword blades - but will try some Gillettes or Feathers soon!

This was my first DE razor, feels really good in the hand and I like the texture on the handle for keeping grip. Great value handle.
