I bought this to protect my Merkur 34C (also purchased from the Shaving Shack at the same time) and it it does exactly what it's supposed to. Fits the razor and a few packs of blades in very well and I'm sure it will protect the 34C for some time. Recommended

This is the second case I have bought for my Merkur 34C as the first one took a tumble from a fair height and, unsurprisingly, cracked. It's a nice case but a little flimsy. The razor fits nicely but blades don't if their in plastic cases, only the cardboard ones.

I bought this at the same time as my Progress. The Progress just fits (very snug) which is great as it does not rattle around inside. There is space provided for two packs of blades (careful though not all razor packs fit 10 blade Feathers do not, most others I tried did fit).
The plastic is very rigid so I do not know how well it will stand up to airport baggage handlers loading techniques. I would suggest care be taken in finding a padded place in your luggage if you are taking it on a plane trip.
All in all though a great case which fits all the short handled Merkurs and accommodates all the blades you will need while yau are away.

this case is great for traveling. i go abroad alot and i put my merkur heavy duty razor in its travel case to keep it nice and safe. it even has a space to put your replacement blades in aswell. great product.

Very good little travel case. Can fit my Merkur 34C Heavy Duty Classic and 2 packs of blades which is more than enough for any amount of travel, I also use the case to keep my razor and blades in whilst at home and stores away nicely. Seems nice and sturdy so more than happy with it.

I bought this travel case for my Merkur 34C "HD". The case looks very nice, but the plastic is a bit weak. When I used the case for the first time in my domestic flight, the razor had bounced inside the box so badly that the case cracked. I guess this case is mainly intended for Merkur Progress, because the HD seems to rattle a bit inside the box. I think this case protects the razor quite good in home conditions, but be sure to pack it inside of clothing in your suitcase for avoiding this kind of mishaps!

I have been looking for a decent travel case for a while. The Shaving Shack should produce one of their own, in a similar style to this, but in a softer, more durable type of plastic, something along the lines of Tupperware plastic would be ideal for travel use. I would buy one for sure.

Since becoming an avid wet-shaver a few months ago I have made all my purchases from Shaving Shack and have been absolutely delighted with everything - until now. Sadly, the Merkur case does not really do the job I was expecting it do to. My 34C sits comfortably in the box but the fitting is not specific to the razor and it doesn't 'click' into place. Neither does it hold my Feather blade pack. In order to keep things snug I need to insert some filler, like a small rag which - for me - defeats the whole purpose. I know it's only a plastic box, but given Merkur's glorious design and execution of their razor products, I'm surprised and disappointed that they haven't bothered to refine this one.
