Simon Knight, from the UK, asks:

“Hi, What is the best shaving cream and method to use when shaving, whilst suffering from facial psoriasis?”

The Bluebeards Revenge Shaving Cream

AARON SAYS

“Mr. Knight,
I would use a shaving cream that is very protective, and moisturizing. The creams I would suggest would be Bluebeard’s Revenge and Coates. They both have amazing protective qualities and have great moisturizing qualities as well. I would also suggest you use some good moisturizing after shave balm that is especially designed for those with sensitive skin. Proraso products and the Bluebeard’s Revenge would be good products to try for a balm.

Smooth Shaving!
Aaron”

We are pleased to announce that we are now stocking Coate’s Special Edition Tea Tree and Rosemary Shaving Cream (165ml Tub).

The Gentleman’s Shop confirmed they had purchased the Coate’s company in May of this year.

Pure luxury in a jar!

The first product in the new Coate’s range is this glycerine and coconut oil based shaving cream also contains tea tree and rosemary essential oils.

”This pot should provide around 100 shaves, as it only needs to be used sparingly with a shaving brush, to produce copious lather,” Coate’s said on their website.

Not only is it Paraben free but it also has no artificial colourants or fragrance.

Tea tree oil has been used for many years in both traditional and alternative medicine, due to its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and as it is now widely used in skincare products, it see med a natural progression to include tea tree oil in our new shaving products.

Tea Tree oil is capable of penetrating the lower layers of the skin with its anti-inflammatory and wound-healing qualities, to encourage the formation of new tissue, following the shave.

“This high quality shaving cream will ensure a smooth shave, as the natural essential oil will help calm the newly shaved skin and is also the ideal solution to reduce any post-shave redness,” Coate’s said.

Coate’s Special Edition Tea Tree and Rosemary Shaving Cream (165ml Tub) is priced at £12.99 on The Shaving Shack website.

We also stock a number of other great shaving creams from leading brands such DR Harris, Musgo Real, Proraso, Taylor of Old Bond Street, Cyril Salter, Truefitt & Hill and The Bluebeards Revenge.
