Author: P Delgado I tried this cream after having tried the Taylor of Old Bond Street's Sandalwood.
This one has a more subtle scent, less "synthetic", if I can describe it like that,
but also less intense.
The texture itself is more creamy, less solid than the TOBS variety, and it lathers up
very well.
I like the TOBS Sandalwood very much - but this one seems to have a slight edge
over it - a more subtle, slightly more natural scent, almost sweeter, with excellent
latherability. In the end, it's a matter of personal preference, but they are both
excellent shaving creams !
Author: Haroon Sheikh Firstly let me say, that I have only smelt TOBS Sandalwood offering, and being an avid sandalwood fan, I wasn't impressed, it did smell very synthetic, almost plastic like the container, and very overpowering. However I can not say the same about T&H's Sandalwood cream. This scent is the way it should be, rich and understated. You can tell they have paid attention to detail, and I was suprised to find I could still get hints of the scent even two hours later, not in a in your face way, but when I had a a really good snff, I couldn't get enough of the stuff. The packaging alone is enough to out do the competition. Latherabilty is excellent, as expected, a little goes along way. If you want the true Sandalwood experience, go for this.
Author: Mikko J. I ordered this shaving cream from another place and I've got the different box than featured here, but the stuff inside is the same.
Scent is strong at first but during the shave after it's milder—very pleasant. This doesn't smell one bit synthetic.
Lather is thick and creamy, providing a smooth shave.
The only downside to this is that soaps last much longer.
If you're looking for sandalwood shaving cream, this is my top recommendation.
