An inexpensive entry into the luxurious Simpsons range!
Handmade in England this brush is densely filled with Best Badger Hair.
Established in 1919 Simpson & Co continue to make the world's finest hand made shaving brushes using techniques that have not changed since the firm was founded. Each handle is turned on a lathe, polished and then filled by hand with a "knot" of fine quality selected Chinese badger hair. The hair for each knot is sorted, weighted and tied by a skilled craftsman who then carefully cements the knot into the handle. The handle is is then etched with the name of brush.

Author: Henrik Fredriksson In my opinion Simpsons crafted the best handle in their line for this excellent brush. The brush is rather soft on the tips but I have no trouble working up superior lather from the hard soaps. Highly recommended.
Author: Ingo Fabbri The X2L is a really good looking and nice performing brush. It is ideal for face lathering, even better in the bowl. It's tips are typically Simpsons Best Badger - soft but of the knot's density also a bit prickly. So if you like brushes with backbone and a kind of "massage" to your face - get this one. If you prefer the more luxurious, soft feeling of a brush - get a Vulfix 2235 Super Badger at a similar price.
