This impressive Premium Shaving brush is entirely handmade and densely filled with Best Badger Hair. The Chubby has been acknowledged as the finest shaving brush available today. Established in 1919 Simpson & Co continue to make the world's finest hand made shaving brushes using techniques that have not changed since the firm was founded. Each handle is turned on a lathe, polished and then filled by hand with a "knot" of fine quality selected Chinese badger hair. The hair for each knot is sorted, weighted and tied by a skilled craftsman who then carefully cements the knot into the handle. The handle is then etched with the name of the brush. I found the CH2 too big for me, and it's a bit of a lather hog. You really have to squeeze up the lather from its depths. It's scrubby when new but really softens up. Great if you like a large, soft brush. Would be great if Shaving Shack offered this brush in other sizes and grades. Author: DOUG Robertson The CH2 is simply the best brush with a wonderful knot and a large handle. It was recommended to me by Dan of The Shaving Shack as the most desired quality brush on the planet and did not disappoint my high expectations. I have several brushes: Rooney, Plisson, Art of Shaving, and other brushes which are silvertips and super badgers. The CH2 is now my favorite.
