Average Customer Rating   Based on 161 votes Customer Reviews Author: Gavin Sutter I recently decided to move away from the 'ordinary' foam / gell in a can approach to shaving, and purchased one of these brushes from the Shaving Shack. I opted for a travel brush as it is still realtively cheap, and meant that if I did enjoy using a brush I would be able to 'trade up' for the home shave, and still have this one for taking travelling. Waste not, want not and all that! I have used both a solid shaving soap and the cream that comes with this brush, shaving with my Gillette Fusion (hoping to make the switch to a DE Safety Razor shortly). The shave I have been getting is an instant improvement over the goop in a can. The brush works especially well with a solid soap, and I am greatly enjoying the ritual of whipping up a lather and painting it onto my face. Shaving has become something more of a pleasure as a result. The brush works equally well with the cream and I will continue to use the tube I have, though I have discovered that my personal preference is definitely a solid soap. I am now ready to 'trade up' to a higher quality brush, maybe a badger bristle, but this brush will definitely not be abandoned. I very much intend to keep using it when I'm on the move. The sole improvement that I think could be made to this brush would be if the storage tube could somehow double as a drip stand. I'm not sure exactly how this could be done - maybe a slightly longer tube with the stand being a circular affair than sits inside it? That would make it the ultimate travelling brush companion, in my book. Overall, a great product, and one well worth considering for the traveller who needs to minimise luggage but doesn't want to go back to goop in a can.
