Recreate bygone times with this traditional shaving scuttle!
This ceramic Victorian style shaving scuttle is handmade in England and comes complete with the world famous Vulfix Old Original logo.
How to use a scuttle Scuttles were introduced in the Victorian era as a way to give hot lather when there was no access to running hot water. Hot water is poured into the spout and the shaving soap is placed in the soap holder which has drainage holes. The brush is then used with the soap to create a lather, with the excess water draining back into the scuttle.
Have any burning questions you would like ask our wet shaving expert Aaron Wolfenbarger? Is shaving lather really important? Should I shave with or against the grain? What causes razor bumps and how can I get rid of them? Feel free to ask any pressing question you want answering.
