This is a two part set of abrasive pastes for a very fine / medium fine sharpening effect, but not a replacement for honing which is needed if the razor has lost its edge through use. The red is the coarser of the two with the black (fine coarse) used for polishing the edge. Please note that to avoid mixing the grades of pastes, a separate leather strop should be used instead of your everyday one. Apply with a cotton cloth.
