I also have sensitive skin, and found the essential oils in Art of Shaving products to eliminate razor burn and redness. I read about the Mekur razor blades, and even saw a great Youtube video on it. Need to try them. Thanks, Ken

Oddly enough, my favourite double edge razor is the Wilkinson Sword Classic. I used this razor in the 1990s after having previously used a twin blade cartridge razor (Gillette Contour). I then went back to using twin blade cartridges around 10 years ago, then returned to DE shaving last year. I now use an Edwin Jagger razor, it’s good but a little aggressive though.

I suffer from sensitive skin and I use The Bluebeards Revenge. Top notch, a great quality lather and its really hepling to reduce my razor rash.

For me the best alternative to the 34c would have to be the Muhle R89. Both are very similar in terms of how aggressive they are. The 89R is great for men who may have issues with skin sensitivity and need a gentler shave. And its less than £30 so within the same price bracket!!

An amazing campaign Bluebeards Revenge. Great to see a grooming firm take some initative on this subject. Men don’t like checking themselves and need all the encouragement they can get. This should really help.

I personally prefer the DE89L. Its a great alternative to the Merkur 34c – which I must admit is an amazing razor. Both the DE89 and 34c have a similar weight and height. The DE89 is lighter but is slightly taller in height, but all in all very similar indeed. Finally, they are both reasonably priced.

Like Andrew, I also suffer from sensitive skin and shaving has been a common misery for my skin. However, I have been using Jermyn Street Collection shave cream for sensitive skin for the past few weeks and I am already starting to see a difference. Thanks so much for the advice Aaron, you have made shaving alot more fun
